| Interesting points Palmspringsbum. I halfheartedly agree in that the masses end up with a bad impression of the culture. But what exactly causes that? Is it the people being who they want to be even if that is a nekkid dominatrix with see through shorts who really isn't doing anything more than practicing the right of self expression (the freedom lovers), or the ignorant masses who are intolerant of the activities of others. (the anti freedom lovers) I'll elaborate in a new thread if one is started. Lets not let this turn into an argument of that nature here. If anyone would like to discuss this further, there are two options, either write an article on the culture shooting itself in it's own foot with the antics of those people you have mentioned, or take this to another forum and start a thread. What we are here to do is extol Suetaz with massive +K for her tremendous efforts. Methinks that we need to come up with an official marijuana.com reporter shirt to pass out to people who report on events like this. Whaddya say Rick? Very well done Suetaz! Thanks! Logos

| Check out this awesome panoramic view of the crowd at Fill The Hill from behind the stage! It is a series of photos spliced into one by FrankDiscussion at the Cannabis Culture forums. It's sort of like find Waldo, but I found myself in the picture. I'm on the right standing right beside a red and white sign that says "DARE to keep cops _ kids." I can't read all of what the sign says. I'm wearing a white shirt and black pants and the friend that I went with looks like he has a red umbrella over his head, but it's actually way behind us. The pic looks funny, almost like I don't have a head, I must be looking away from the camera. (Natural instincts ) My shirt said Marijuana.com - A Community of Compassion on the back with a Canabian flag on the front. Somebody needs to design a US flag with a potleaf on it so I can put both on my shirt with the flags crossed. ![]() |

| PalmSpringsBum - What you have to realize is that your cause, while you support it for arguably more noble reasons, is the exact same cause as that of the Dominatrix. It is not the government's place to decide what substances citizens can and cannot put into their bodies. This truth is fundamental to a free society and it applies to EVERYONE, regardless of whether they need marijuana for a serious medical condition or whether they just want to get high and have a good time. As a free adult citizen, it is YOUR choice what medicine you choose to use, and as a free adult citizen, it is YOUR choice what intoxicant you choose to use (or whether you choose to intoxicate yourself at all). | What you have to realize is that your cause, while you support it for arguably more noble reasons, is the exact same cause as that of the Dominatrix. What a load of sophist ****. What you don't realize is that damn dominitrix doesn't give a damn whether I go to jail or not. If she did she wouldn't be doing what she does as a Marijuana Party Candidate. Neither she nor the Marijuana Party give a damn about me or about legalization. If either one did they'd have more respect for 'popular' sensibilities and take care not to alienate anyone. Your sophistry does not impress me. The Marijuana Party is (or is supposed to be) a single issue party that doesn't intend to ever elect anyone to office or win anything (according to their website - or have they changed their pitch?). Their goal is solely to be 'king makers'. I read their damn Amway spiel and was as disgusted by it as I was by the people involved. One of the reasons I refuse to have anything to do with it is I didn't want to be involved with the kind of people their pitch would attract. Wouldn't surprise me if there are more EX-Marijuana Party members than members. I know of quite a number. You really should make use of the information brought to the table before you comment. If you'd read the threads I'd posted you'd know that when this all started and I was -asked- to start a California Marijuana party I objected firstly because their website said 'it is very important no candidate smoke in public'. Loretta didn't give a damn that that would de facto exclude all medical patients from being candidates (their best prospects). Nor did the blatant hypocrisy matter. Read the link I posted before you comment and you won't look so ridiculous. Here's the thread where that all first came up: http://www.geocities.com/palmsprings...ana-party.html |

| This is one of those times... Suetaz was kind enough to point us all to another thread for the points currently being made in this thread. I'll repeat it here for those of you who may have missed it. http://cheaptalk.marijuana.com/420/s...743#post295743 It is titled Whips, chains, pot and politics Please take this particular argument there. Any further comments regarding that subject in this thread will cause me to thoroughly abuse my authority... ![]() Logos |
