My question to these psychiatrists is what are the long-term effects of the drugs that the prescribe to give our ADD, ADHD, depressed, and other mentally challenged kids? I'm willing to bet that those drugs are more likely to cause the long-term effects than marijuana.

Anger is contagious. Love is contagious. Stupid retardedness is extremely contagious, and psychosis is a great escape from that.

Interesting though, if you look at part of the definition of psychosis, "characterized by defective or lost contact with reality", someone who refuses to accept reality (read: The Perfect World, as prescribed by the religious right) could be seen as suffering from psychosis.

So, if there is any correlation between Marijuana use and psychosis, it would be because MJ opened their minds far enough that they decided to stop accepting this world for the PoS that it actually is.

Just a thought...

Default Psychosis cure

I use MJ to combat a very mild psychosis, and depression. Works great B)
The psychosis they are studying is probably what results when there is not enough THC consumed by a person who has actively smoked MJ in the past, and had psychotic episodes cured by this.

I've personally rated MJ up with food as a consumable. In fact, i generally smoke and eat at the same time, as if it were a 7th nutrient. I don't care what doctors and scientists think. This is the way I choose to live.

Uhm... Did anyone actually read the study? Solutions presented it here:

http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/rapid...64086.63v1.pdf

It is a downloadable file (very small).

I read somewhat of it, and it seems to me that it is very serious. This, however, does not mean that the articles that are writen about the study are also, serious. Anyways, the important thing is to read the study, it does show that - through used psychological methods - cannabis increases the risk of psychosis. The risk also doubles while more cannabis is consumed, but the numbers are still very low (2.5% to 5% aprox.), we have to realize that 'doubling' does not necesarily mean that now eveyrone who uses cannabis is going to end up with psychosis (keep in mind that that risk is always present, even if we are completely healthy individuals who don't consume anything other than what we specifically need - as in food).

Give the study a glance (if you already haven't).
