High growth in cannabis shops

A report published in Rotterdam-based daily newspaper the Algemeen Dagblad claims the number of so-called "growshops" — which sell equipment for large-scale cannabis cultivation — has tripled in the past five years from around 100 to 325. The newspaper says many people have turned to cannabis growing as a result of the economic slump, Radio Netherlands reported. Large-scale marijuana crops are illegal in the Netherlands, but the shops selling the necessary equipment are tolerated. There is now feeling in political circles that steps should be taken against the growshops, the newspaper reported.

Better yet, make all hydroponics stores illegal and arrest all the owners. Damn, we gotta make dirt and lights illegal too.
