Default please! who's to say that it WAS pot that pushed him over the edge!

can't say that my family hasn't blamed my mishaps on my smoking ganj... I do have a brother-in-law who's a smoker and he is a pretty successful guy.

I feel very sorry for this lady, but I wish she didn't put this information out there without any proof other than "my family thinks its because of weed". I mean for all we know, this guy could've been on acid or some other halucinogen - that'll make you think you're John the Pope if you take the right kind...

the more I think about this the more I feel like its just a publicity stunt the good old brits are trying to promote to delegalize pot... (correct me if I'm wrong here, but last I heard it IS legal in GB at some level)

when I was a kid, people in my old country used to say "there are as many types of schitzofrenia out there as there are people".

my opinion - it depends on who you are. if you command respect, people will never think you are schitzo (whether you toke or not) even if you are nuts.

I had to get him sectioned which absolutely broke the family up. My father and mother had very old-fashioned ideas about mental illness - you didn't speak about it - and they practically disowned him
.

One has to wonder -- being old fashioned as they were -- how many ancestors and relatives of this man had also suffered untreated worsening fatal mental illness.

But we wil never know shall we -- after all -- we must protect stain from the family Honor, at all cost, mustn't we?

Question

People go through things and you can't blame it on drugs because if you do your saying that our country is contradicting itself (which it is) you never heard of anyone overdosing on marijuana yet they do overdose on alcohol which is leagal. You don't have proof that marijana causes death but you have proof that it can be used as a medical drug and you still won't legalize it. The U.S. government is not letting us know everything and thats going to be there downfall we as the people should know why marijuana isn't legal but presciption drugs that are killing whose need to get high. The world is in confusion because there's something we don't know the government is hiding it and that is why we are going through all that we are now. Can someone please tell me why marjuania is bad(things that can be proven).

really now. that's kinda the process that you go through when you smoke weed. you go insane because of a sudden disconnection of oneself from memory and ideas start conjuring themselves up. certain people just forget that you just need to take a break sometimes.

and start excercising, yeah, that's the best idea.

Yes Charmplus. I could never understand the terror that was supposed to be struck into me with the description of "the effects of marijuana". They spoke of Short Term Memory Loss as though people who had smoked marijuana were wandering around the streets unable to find their car or the way home. Oh by the way, have you seen my keys

Sometimes I can't find my car but I'm not usually high when I can't find it.

If you are experiencing this in your life, please, seek psychiatric help immediately.

This is not normal and not a "usual" effect of smoking or imbibing cannabis.

Feelings of disreality and disconnection from onesself are significant signs of serious mental illness and should not be taken lightly. The term "insane"; however, as you use it, is misapplied.

Please do take care of yoursel, and until you are under a professional's care and advice, if you are experiencing these symptoms, please refrain from smoking.

Hugz, and be well.
