They could have just called the poison control center and asked what to do in the event of an MDMA overdose, because they will provide information and I think they might even be able to tell what was in the pill (cut with) if you can describe it to the operator; not certain though on that last part though. Anyways, this just goes further to strengthen the legalize all drugs mindset. If all drugs were legal, taxed, and regulated along with real information (like how cigarette companies put information on stopping to smoke and what the health effects are, though it could be a bit more informative) on the item for anyone to read then these kids would have had no problem going to the authorities, which should be a person of trust but unfortunately that's not how it is today: we don't trust the ones that have the potential to save us in certain situations because we fear the repercussions of something we may or may not be illegally doing.

Sorry that i did not include more information in my earlier post. I was kind of high and just sort of rambling. I heard about the rat study from my socials teacher and i regret that i do not know any factual information about it. I was simply trying to point out how odd it is to believe that pot (a non-carcinogen) can magically gain these chemicals while cigarettes filled with cancer causing chemicals barely emit any (comparitively). Again i do not have any facts to base this on, it is just something i thought about and it sounds logical.

Sorry again and thanks for the cookie.

someone suggested

"This is a great reason not to use hash unless you've made it yourself or are getting it from someone you know who is making it using a clean method. It is just as dangerous as pills or white powders that can be cut. And hash is kinda nasty. Made the old fashioned way.. you really want to be smoking someone's skin particles and the dirt that gets caught in the skin particles of the third-world peoples who are making the hash with dirty unwashed fingers? Yuck."

Well if you can either smoke nothing or black market hash I think most of us stoners will choose the black market hash. I have a garden going in the woods to avoid this come fall....Now hash in the Netherlands....mmm nederhash;;;

as for "killer drugs"

alcohol kills a higher percentage of its users than mdma, but of course CANNABIS HAS NEVER KILLED ANYONE and the authors of this article want to suggest that "medical marijuana" somehow killed this girl instead of talking about the risks of taking pills that are not regulated for purity.

I seriousy doubt a mere description of a person's physical reaction or behavior would lead to a poison control center to successfully conclude what exactly was in the "mystery pill". Different drugs lead to different reactions in people, and while certain drugs DO lead to certain behaviors in the majority of people who have injested it, it'd be extremely difficult to assume what tthe person actually injested. Considering PCP, DXM, and Ketamine have all been found in "ecstacy" pills, and all have similiar dissociative effects, how can someone, with any degree of accuracy, conclude what the person took....espeically coming from some shaken up teenager whose description could very well be " my friend took x, and isn't breathing now"? Among those more savvy to illegal drugs, its likely the people calling the center actually have better idea of what "might' have been in the pill than the average hotline operator.
