| No one is contesting that it's a good thing to get the issues before the public eye. What's being questioned is why we can't be represented by someone whose opinion is likely to have some weight when viewed by people who are not part of the movement. "Hi! I'm Loretta Nall. I'm a pothead and mother of two who lives in a trailer." "Hi! I'm Dr. _______, M.D. I'm professor of pharmacology at John Hopkins University Medical School. I have been a member of _____, _____, _____, and _____. I have chaired committees at _____, _____, ____, and _____." Whose opinion would carry more weight?

| a lot of times when someone has that much status they'd rather not be the ones in the public eye promoting marijuana as benificial.. same reason you see a bunch of teens/hippie type at the majority of rallies.. Reminds me of somthing i heard Emery say, once most people can afford to buy a suit they are less likely to associate themselves with the marijuana movement, at least in public.. i would assume the same rings true when you hit the point of being a respected M.D. or have decades of experience in a field related to whatever position they're seeking.. |

| I can see what Nite is getting at, and I have my personal feelings about her running for AL governor, but I would rather have her than the other two to be honest. As for qualifications, she seems to lack what I would want, but she is the one standing up for freedom. This goes back to Buzzby's point, of course I would support someone with credentials over her, any day of the week and I would feel 10x more comfortable doing so. However, where are these people running for governor? Until they do AL has to 'settle' for those that are willing to bring about change that we agree with.

| cptn, are you going to college? Thought you would like to know that I wear a suit, and I casually inform professionals in my field about the differences between marijuana and more dangerous drugs like prescription narcotics, herion, crack and alcohol whenever the topic comes up. I've personally educated several influential people, including high ranking law enforcement officials and attorneys. Dennis |
