Default CAN: Pot Pals Have A Clear Choice

Pot Pals Have A Clear Choice
Mark Russell | BCNG Portals | 01/20/2005

Are you cannabis-friendly? Vote NDP. If you are a cannabis consumer, vote NDP.

If you know a pothead, or are related to one, vote NDP.

If you buy cannabis or sell it, or grow it, or make cookies and brownies with it, vote NDP.

If you use cannabis to relieve the pain and suffering of illness and injury, vote NDP.

If you’re against prohibition of a plant that the federal government says is less harmful than either alcohol or tobacco, then vote NDP.

I’m not a lefty, but it seems to me that the NDP doesn’t want to make criminals out of ordinary Canadian cannabis consumers.

The Liberals and Conservetives do.

They got my vote. Mainly for their stance on public health care than the marijuana issue.

It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense. And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable what then?"

From what I've read, the conservative candidate in the Canadian election is a GW clone. If he takes charge you can pack up your bongs for awhile, as there is a new sheriff in town.

No reason to pack up the bongs people, W has not been able to "cleanse" the country of cannabis, and neither will Stephen Harper. There will still be plenty of cannabis around to put your smoking implements to good use.
