| I love Montel, he's a smart guy who gets to the point and keeps his cool. I also like how he says his pain isn't any different than the few legal prescriptions of marijuana that are out there. IT'S TRUE!! Who the HELL on this planet has the right to say you aren't benefitting from Marijuana usage. Okay, throw us recreational users in jail, give us the death penalty, wipe us off existance, but for the love of all that is just and righteous, listen to people who are in pain. If someone is in as much pain as Montel says he is, and says Marijuana works for him, then dammit what the hell is the problem? If you're not going to legalize marijuana, fine, screw it; but please, give it to those who need it. NEED it. My previous statement still stands, Marijuana will be decriminalized to some degree in the Majority of states within 20 years of 2005 (19 now of course), and I want to add something new to that. Within 10 years of 2006, the Majority of states will have SOME form of Medicinal Marijuana prescriptions, thereby making Marijuana legal with a doctor's note. (However, if a huge world war breaks out, or some major catastrophes happen (bigger than 9/11), all bets are off). So don't worry folks, I think we are on a progressive trend towards that. Keep your minds open, and keep the negative stigma away from pot. |

| Montel seems to be doing everything in his power to change these laws, including talking to Congress. He did dedicate a show completely to medical marijuana on September 21st, 2004. Check the show out here towards the bottom on the right. Aside from his own show and numerous other public apperances in the national media (including shows such as The O'Reilly Factor), he has advocated to Congress and state officials in New York on several occassions to change the law. May, 2005 "Williams was on the Hill to try to persuade lawmakers to pass bills pertaining to medicinal marijuana, such as the States’ Rights to Medical Marijuana Act." May 30, 2005 Montel Op Ed in New York Daily News 2004 Article covers Montel lobbying legislators, winning over a Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, and meeting with the Governor. And the list goes on and on. I remember reading another editorial in favor of the broad medical marijuana bill that failed in Oregon that would have allowed legit distribution centers. The man deserves alot of respect from those that suffer day and night and have to have cannabis to ease their pain.

| The only redeeming moment on Jerry Springer is the last 5 minutes when he does his commentary. |
