You can't please everyone all the time, no matter what you do. For the most part I find marijuana users to be more tolerant of people having different lifestyles than is the average for our society. Besides which, the Playboy mansion thing is a fundraiser. What's important is to attract interested people with some money.

Maybe there are a lot of men who are hard up who belong to MPP...? Maybe there is an overwhelming majority of single, non-medical marijuana using males behind MPP? Maybe it's a bunch of people who are married who don't believe in the idea of one man and one woman in a relationship, raising a family.
Newsflash: married men still like to look at beautiful women. They're married, not dead. This party is not an event to establish what kind of people are in MPP. (It has all kinds.) It's to raise money for MPP.

In my opinion, good humor is for everyone to enjoy and feel good humored about.
In what universe? Different humorists appeal to different audiences. I have no understanding of why people liked Beavis & Butthead. Many people can't understand why I like Jon Stewart and Bill Maher. My sister loves the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. I think it's unfunny crap.

I wasn't aware of that. The material I've heard/seen is pot-culture related, social criticism, or anti-Conservative political.

Default I tried my best to fix this record, dagnabbit!!!!

Anybody who wants weed legal, for any expressly nonharmful reason, does a good thing, and should be supported.

What: do you think that, if every person in the movement suddenly, spontaneously, changed their whole aspect and personality over, so that they were all clean-cut, suit-and-tie-wearing, capitalist neocons just like Cliff, that Cliff would welcome us all into his warm embrace, and we'd all be friends? Even if that were remotely possible... and we COULD sacrifice our cherished diversity, what evidence do we have that Cliff would change his views on pot, or potheads?

Cliff Kincaid is a liar.

I will say that again, just in case you missed it:Cliff Kincaid is a liar.

He takes terrible tragedies, and twists the facts to suit his purpose. He mangles quotes and puts words in people's mouths. He has clearly demonstrated a manifest contempt for honest, fair, democratic debate. Do you think Hef's persona, or Tommy Chong's antics, make one whit of difference? Come ON! Rob Kampia "looks the Part". Ethan Nadelmann looks the part too. Look how much credit they don't get from Cliff. Hes frothing at the mouth at how they're some part of a vast leftwing conspiracy to take over the world.

Look, it's easy. When somebody tells you they have zero tolerance, do you know what that means? You should expend zero effort trying to appease them. Anything that you do, will be wasted. Cliff has what he wants. You aren't going to convince him to change for nothing. So stop trying.

I'm tempted to send him a stuffed donkey and/or a rubber rooster with a little note "Wrap your laughing gear around that, Cliff, and feel the wrath of the innocent people you've **** on." He's probably too dumb to get it anyway.

Default Guess Who's Running Around Foaming at the Mouth?

Representative Souder

Source: http://www.drugpolicy.org/news/press...e/pr020906.cfm

"In an attempt to stifle open debate among conservatives, U.S. Representative Mark Souder recently submitted a statement for the congressional record railing against a decision by organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) to include a debate on drug policy.

Souder, a long-time supporter of the failed War on Drugs, resorted to name-calling in an effort to discredit the inclusion of drug policy reform groups like the Drug Policy Alliance and the Marijuana Policy Project at CPAC.

"It is one thing for Souder to support the war on drugs and to ignore all its costs, including wasting taxpayer money, destroying families, and undermining the rule of law. What is really tragic is when an elected official seeks to censor open discussion and debate," said Ethan Nadelmann, executive director of the Drug Policy Alliance. "There is a long and distinguished tradition within the conservative movement in America of opposing the war on drugs and its violation of fundamental principles. Perhaps, it is Souder who is outside the mainstream among his conservative colleagues."
