There was no security comprimise.

This was a proactive move on my part. I was not contacted by any governmental agencies. I took HC.Com offline and have put it away for safe keeping until such time that I am assured by legal council that HC.Com is not in any violation of US Federal Laws or RICO/MAPA Acts.

This was done for the protection of the HempCultivation.Com Community. Given the circumstances surrounding the arrest and seizure of the owner Overgrow.Com and servers I simply am no longer willing to accept that risk without sound advice from Legal council.

There isn't a thread anywhere except the 420 lounge. which I don't feel like registering there. So many valuable resources poof. it is a sad sad day. I understand why though. this is a wealth of information for cultivators and LEO. and for that much info to fall in the wrong hands. My thanks to HC. Take care. I will miss you all. Self-censorship by those involved ... likely in return for providing authorities information.

To be fair, those involved could have simply been advised to totally keep quiet by their legal counsel, but that, in my laymans view (the activism side of me speaking LOL), is bad advice to follow ... RC and/or the others involved should have gone public right away ... for all the faults Marc Emery has, he stays true to what he believes and willing to put himself on the line to uphold his beliefs, but I digress.

The U.S. does the same thing everyday ... ie. "National Security Letters", concentration camps, rendition, etc.

Canada is simply falling into lock-step with the U.S. ... it was only a matter of time before something like this was going to happen ...

On the bright side, now people seeking meaningful cannabis policy reform in both Canada and the U.S. will be united in a common cause...

I originally thought the Marc Emery situation was a one-off, but now it's looking to be a pattern ... I'm surprised the Canadian government would continue down this route ...

Things will likely get worse before they get better ... if the Canadian government chooses to follow a U.S.-like drug policy, their citizens will be exposed to a far more intensified drug war, and all the violence with it, than ever before

There was a recent change in government here in canada... the conservative party is now in charge of things, and most likely behind all this.

I feel like my home, hempcultivation.com, is now gone. It's where i learnt to grow for the last 5 years, its where i taught others to grow. its where i met lots of cool people and we traded seeds etc. its gone, but i hope not forever.

I am grateful that i never posted much on overgrow.com, cuz all that info is now in the wrong hands. Thanks rick for thinking of us first and bringing hempcultivation.com down...... i posted alot of incriminating shat on there, im sure alot of others did too.

It seems that things are crumbling everywhere, first overgrow.com, then my favorite seed bank peak seeds, then hempcultivation..... im looking for a new forum to join. Profound if ur out ther drop me a pm, same with u OUTDOORS, and fillabong, etc etc...

Speaking of security. If I was to find another forum and never posted or registered is there any risk just reading post on how to grow. I hope this made sense Ive been smoking all night and can barly keep my eyes open.

Stephen Harper is the reason behind this. As soon as he became PM, it wasn't days later that OG went down. He's passed himself a tidy little bill, or has done something to get this rolling.
He's all for G.W., he's a yank at heart. He's from alberta, where the oil is from. Having a team player who heads in another country, who thinks like you is bad news for us all indeed.

Thing is, Canada is a lot smaller, population wise, than the US. When we make noise, it usually amounts to a larger percentage of our population, therefore has more bang. I don't believe Canadians will leave him there for long. If we do, I will all but dissappear, as soon as I get the chance.

Once we realize what we have done in electing that moron, I hope the damage is so severe that we never have judgement lapse again. If that's what it takes, then that's what it takes.

I see civil war in the near future, scary, but I see it. The police are moving from "protect and serve" to "hunt and destroy".......imagine the things we don't see, that are affecting us right now, even though we know nothing about it. It's time to fight back, hopefully the fight will be won before I decide to dissappear.
