| Methamphetamine hydrochloride is not a combination of chemicals, it's a compound. It's the compound popularly known as "meth". Why do you have such a problem with that? There are lots of drugs that are harmful when abused and very helpful when used medically. Why should methamphetamine be any different? Typically, medications designed for oral ingestion are hydrochlorides or sulfates because they work better that way. Even when it's used medically prescribed by a doctor and never abused, it is still harmful to the human body. Prolong use of anything chemically engineered substance has a negative impact on the body. My problem is this: anything chemically engineered is poisonous to the human body. Over time these chemical substances damage the liver, kidneys, heart, and brain. When these chemical substances are engineered, even in controlled facilities such as pharm. labs. There are still waste products from the engineering process. What happens to the waste? HAZWOPER (hazardous waste operations procedure) has to come in and remove the wastes and why? because of the impact it has on our enviroment. It's hazardous waste, that is my problem. Marijuana: You simply cannot over dose on marijuana. If you never smoke it and only eat it, there are no permanent serious side effects to any organ in the human body. Growing marijuana is the same as, like I stated earlier, like everything else growing naturally on earth, there is no negative impact on the enviroment. If anything it's a good thing, plants generate oxygen. I love the debate and I still stand strong on what I've stated. Last note: Go to your local university and ask any chemistry professor if methamphetamine hydrochloride is pure meth. It is not my friends, it's a combination of chemicals. P.S. I love you guys!! |

| Rather than asking my local university, why don't YOu provide something to back up your argument? Buzzby and I have both provided evidence for our side, while your only response is "go ask someone else" THAT, my friend, isn't very good support for your case As for marijuana and its "environmental impact" True indeed, marijuana is good for the ecosystem. however, you also have unscruplous growers who are damaging our wilderness with toxic fertilizers, spilled fuel from generators, etc.....you cannot tell me that THAT doesn't concern you as well With any black market substance, be it meth or marijuana, there are going to be harmful effects that aren't readily visable on the surface of the probelm. While meth is harmful to our environment, the illicit production of marijuana also does its harm, espeically since many of the guerilla grows are located in our state and national parks and forests, the very areas set aside to minimize the impact humans have on the wilderness. |
