|  You guys missed the part in the story that noted there are no pay phones in Texas prisons. I agree they should be punished harshly, but decades is orders of magnitude beyond the pale. I've always thought people were supposed to be punished for what they do, not hat they might do. Heck, using that logic everyone arrested for possession of pot should face 20 years, because they might make Alice B Toklas muffins and slip 'em to the teacher. Not to mention they're giving probation to the guards that smuggle them in for a few hundred $. Now how in the world would these prisoners create such a grave security risk by having their cell phones without someone facilitating them? Make them from scratch in the license plate shop? |
