Default CA: Police to Request Medical Marijuana Crackdown in Ripon

Police to Request Medical Marijuana Crackdown in Ripon
Elizabeth Bishop | News10.net | 7/9/2006

Police will ask Ripon's City Council on Monday to regulate medical marijuana. They want to ban outdoor gardens and limit where and how much marijuana can be grown by patients with a doctor's card that allows them to use the drug.

The police department's proposal calls for limiting patients to 24 plants and restricting growing areas to fully enclosed spaces that can be locked.

Ripon police say they are aware of about six people in the city who have the necessary doctor's cards. However, they have found gardens throughout the city with as many as 50 plants.

In 1996, California voters passed Proposition 215, which allows patients to use marijuana medicinally.

If the City Council approves the limitations, members would have to take a second vote to enact an ordinance.

Default Needs some negotiation

While I do not agree with the number of plants -- as it is necessary to have plants at various stages of growth from germination through vegetation through flowering and of course dried and prepared products -- No one wants to run out of medication --

-- it seems reasonable to request that cannabis be grown in a manner that controls its use within the guidelines of the agreement of Prop 215.

It is what was agreed to by the People of California.

But let us see if this becomes a negotiating point or a Federal Stand Off.

Default Backyard gardens in California

We successfully harvested 11 giant first class Northern Lights marijuana plants in Oakland in full view of the helicopters that paused once in awhile to watch there progress. 11 plants harvested was 5.5 pounds and we thank the local Oakland police for NOT GOING THERE.

THIS YEAR WE CUT IT BACK TO SEVEN PLANTS AND CONTINOUSLY WAVE TO CHOPPER POLICE FLY-BY. ON THE ROOF OF THE HOUSE WE POSTED A "PROP 215 PATIENT.....CHILL" sign.

Since we live in a high crime city we appreciate the cover that chopper provides and hope they enjoy our view. Everyones growing in Alameda County. Oakland Police has a location set up to care for confiscated plants in case they go back to the grower.

NOW IF THEY COULD GET OVER RECREATIONAL USE WE COULD GET BACK TO HEALING THE OZONE WITH MAJOR FARMING OPERATIONS. IMAGINE THE "BIG VALLEY' FILLED WITH HOMEY POT FARMS. RIGHT NEXT TO THE VINYARDS.

FVKING FINALLY!
