| Honestly, true freedom of religion SHOULD mean that we are able to do, act, or perform any practice that we feel deepens our spirituality and our connection with the Divine, so long as we are not harming others. Marijuana, and other entheogens, completely satisfy that longing in me. No complex rituals or dogma are needed. Simply by taking them reverently and meditating, I feel at one with the universe, at peace with myself, and find the prospect of death (inevitable for us all) to be much less terrifying. The futility of material wealth is revealed, and I am left with a desire, almost a responsibility, to help those who have not yet found such inner peace. I know that what I wrote above seems trite and superficial, but words always lose their impact when trying to describe that which we have no words for. Should I, or anyone, be forbidden to experience these feelings? Should we be punished for doing so? I think the world we be a much better place if we were not. Peace.
