| Victim Wanted Marijuana, Got A Beating Meghann Ackerman | Allston-Brighton TAB | 07/21/2006 Three people were arrested on Tuesday morning after a police detective witnessed an attack and robbery. Although the suspects fled the scene, the detective was able to alert other officers who were able to catch up to them. Wilfredo Amador, 26, of 28 Brooks St., Apt. 3, Brookline; Amanda K. Bennett, 25, of 12 Bayberry Road, Beverly; and Arnold Noel Julce, 18, of 10 Lawrence St., Apt. C, Brighton, were all arrested and charged with robbery on July 18. At 2:30 a.m., a detective reported that two suspects were beating a victim in the parking lot of 200 North Beacon St and possibly robbing him. When the suspects fled the scene in a car driven by a third person, police were able to pull them over at the intersection of North Beacon and Market streets. Bennett was driving the car, police reported. Police called the victim’s cell phone, which he said had been stolen, and it was allegedly answered by Julce. Police reported finding the cell phone, along with cash that had been reported stolen, in the suspects’ car. According to the victim, he was approached by Julce, who allegedly asked him if he wanted to buy marijuana, on Brighton Avenue. The victim told police he agreed to accompany Julce to pick up the marijuana and then buy it from him; he also said he allowed Julce to drive his car. The victim said that when the arrived in the parking lot of 200 North Beacon St., he took out his wallet to pay for the drugs, and Julce allegedly started punching him in the head. The victim said he got out of the car and then was allegedly attacked by Amador. While lying on the ground after being hit in the head repeatedly, the victim said he thought he saw one of the men jab at him with a knife. The detective who reported the attack said he saw one of the suspects get an object out of the truck of their car and swing it at the victim. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. |
