| 'It's Only Marijuana,' Says Driver Defending DUI David Melson | Shelbyville Times-Gazette | 07/27/2006 A driver charged with DUI by police allegedly defended his actions by saying, "It's only marijuana; it's not like I was drinking beer or anything like that." Kenneth W. Reese, 20, of Manchester, made those comments while being arrested after a traffic stop due to alleged erratic driving on Madison Street at Hillcrest Drive early Wednesday, police said. "Reese appeared extremely disoriented ... I asked him if he had been drinking and he said no," Officer Sam Jacobs said, adding that he detected no odor or signs of alcohol on Reese or within his car. A field sobriety test was administered to Reese by Jacobs. Following the test, Reese allegedly said, "There's no need of me taking any tests. They'll just show that I have THC in me." Reese admitted smoking "a couple of blunts" a few hours earlier, Jacobs said. Three partially smoked marijuana cigarettes were found in Reese's car by Jacobs during a post-arrest search. Reese was charged with DUI, no driver's license and possession of a schedule VI drug. |

| I wonder if the cop performed any other tests that determined whether or not he is capable of driving. It doesn't say in the article but to think about it, if he would have failed any tests it would have probably been mentioned along with some other ludicrious statement such as "In high dosages, such as 3 blunts, the user can't see straight and thus he can't drive." lol |
