Steve-O swears off drugs

'Jackass' star Steve-O's New Year's resolutions include having more sex and quitting drugs.

The outrageous daredevil is determined to clean up his act in 2007 and focus on his career.

He is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "I'm going to try to make more money, have more sex, become more famous and quit smoking. I'm quitting drugs too."

The 32-year-old insists he has already stopped taking Class A drugs, but still smokes marijuana.

He quipped: "I quit cocaine and now I'm off the nitrous gas (laughing gas) - so I'm just a pothead now."

Steve-O confessed last September that his penchant for cannabis could have cost him his life, after he smuggled the illegal substance into India via Singapore where the penalty for drug smuggling is the death sentence.

He said at the time: "I filled condoms up with grass, swallowed them, then [expletive] them out in India. I flew through Singapore, though, where if you're caught as a drug trafficker, they'll hang you."

I'm surprised he kept smuggling marijuana that way. He was held under a large bond a few years ago for doing that because he told the press he smuggled marijuana in a condom.

The camera crew he was with showed him retrieving it. When it didn't show up when he used the bathroom, he was at a show later on that night and made himself throw up and the condom with the weed came out. Luckily he had already got it out and smoked it after the show before his hotel room was raided the next day i think and he was arrested. They even took a x ray of his body to check for it. They only found a ecstasy pill in his room and that was it. My friend had the dvd of that tour, think it was called "Out On Bail" or somethin. It showed him in Amsterdam smoking in the coffee shops with some of his crew, then taking a condom, putting some white widow in it and swallowing it. I thought he was going to choke when i saw him do it. He did it a few times before the police in another location he had flown to heard about it from the press. That happend over in Europe, I thought he had stopped after that, guess not. He probably learned to keep quiet to the public about it after getting in trouble the first time, but i wouldn't have took the risk to carry a few grams of pot into another country if it could cost me my life.
