|  AUS: Man accused of taking marijuana plant to court Man accused of taking marijuana plant to court 01.09.07|ABC NEWS Online A 39-year-old Nimbin man who allegedly tried to take a marijuana plant into a Brisbane court yesterday has faced court today for possessing a dangerous drug. In October last year Peter Till was charged for smoking cannabis in Brisbane's Queen Street Mall. It is alleged when he turned up for his court appearance yesterday to plead not guilty he arrived carrying a marijuana plant and told security officers it was evidence in his case. The plant was confiscated and Till was arrested and held in the watch house overnight. He faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court again this morning charged with possessing a dangerous drug. The 39-year-old was released on bail and will face court again in April. |

| Exactly Buzzby Exactly, he wanted to bring the plant, in my opinion, to show the court that cannabis is just a plant, not a deadly drug. This is likely also in a state of Australia where growing a few plants is decriminalized so he likely risks a fine only. "Honest judge, its just a weed, not a dangerous drug, look, its even got such pretty flowers." |
