They have to maintain offices, phones, staff, bookkeepers, programmers, data entry operators, and a large computerized database. I don't see $142 a year as being an excessive fee. It costs me more than that to see my doctor for five minutes.

I can understand patients feeling like they're being taken advantage of, because the medical marijuana system still isn't as efficient as other medicine distribution. But if the people who could actually make a difference (Politics) actually cared about it. It could be set up in a more effective way, but unfortunately the people who have helped medical marijuana get this far weren't politicians, it was citizens who wanted change. It won't be cheaper until a politician comes into power who actually cares. Currently they just wanna have medical marijuana, so they can be left alone. That's the extent of effort they're gonna put into it.
