"Video News" like this is a waste of time. I could have read the transcript in 1/10 of the time it took to listen to the Sheriff's soporific, snail-paced, monotonous monotone delivery.

I missed the end of it because it put me to sleep!

While slow, I enjoy video news sometimes because you can see how things are being said, what their face is doing etc. Unless it is by a news reporter, they all talk the same.

He doesn't address the issue, this is about a man who had his plants and weed seized when he had a medical license.

Default Probably not the best example

This was merely an example that news video is now on our menu.

If you ever want to include a video excerpt into a post you make, it is very easy. Simply pur the url to the video file you wish to include.

For example; If I wanted to include the following video all I would have to do is paste the URL to the video/page.

Code:
[ CENTER]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPcOUuWhLgc[/CENTER ]
That code would produce the following;

I personally like video because it allows for me to multitask and 'listen' to the news - should something catch my ear, alt+tab and I'm involved. Obviously, not all videos are suited to this kind of submission, however, a video to go along with a nice article, such as the one above would be valuable, to me.

Default Video in News and Blogging

It's the future, plain and simple.

Part of the issue with net neutrality is video because once you or I can stream or just post video the domain of the TV is impacted, and not happily so for those who control the TV, which is Rupert Murdoch and about 5 other people for most major broadcast networks and cable. I now call this the old media cartel, or OMC.

They want to squash our ability to make videos or re-post others becasue its such a powerful medium of communicating ideas.

TV currently determines a whole lot of what Americans think and believe and that is POWER. If it's not on TV it's not real.

We in the relegalization effort are squished out of the OMC. Sure there's local coverage of medical marijuana events in the west, for example, but there's nothing on the national tv news or news magazines about it. John Stossel having A program once every 10 years isn't what is needed.

The internet has moved in on their turf, it has helped influence the 2006 election and it grows in power.

Video in a blog post or as a blog post is powerful stuff because it seems like tv.

Mr Sheriff man doesn't know what he's talking about. They've been at this eradication thing since Nixon's day and there's more pot than ever, it's better, and fresher. Yes it's more expensive and that's where the CRIMINALS come from - prohibition makes it popular you numskulls. Alas.. they like the budget-enhancing rhetoric of "war" and "druuuugs".

With video editing software one can edit and sample different things he says and dissect his presentation the way we do in text now.

Blah blah blah... guess I shoulda made a video, eh?

Thanks for posting this rick.

The rest of ya... get with the programming...
