Now this is what I find kind of funny. Do you all remember the PSA a number of years ago that showed an egg being fried and the message was, "This is your brain....this is your brain on drugs...."

Well, honesty, and this is funny, I was still young enough to be influenced by this. But the thing was the ad didn't discourage me from drug use....it discouraged me from eating fried eggs

I'm not kidding. And now the ads are even more ridiculous, if you smoke pot your girlfriend will prefer to date an alien? Puh-leaze.....

I like how Buzzby put it; if someone lies to you and you find out or know it, then you're not going to believe much of anything else they say. My challenge has always been this; if the governement's official word of truth about smoking marijuana has changed so many times (you will kill people, go insane, ect.) why is it we still allow it to continue?

I showed my wife these ads and she said she would never leave me because I smoke, for an alien or not, and she NEVER smokes. She also said that my dog( who still lives with my parents in the USA) seemed happy enough to wait 5 minutes in the garage so I could smoke before I took it for a walk and that the dog in the ads was just a spoiled brat.

Perhaps I make a difference in my head between smoking a little and getting blasted. During the week I smoke a little bit while I do chores, homework (I am now preparing an exam to be a certified teacher in France, I already am in the USA). On the weekend when I am hanging out with friends to watch rugby or soccer I get really baked. I could always function well stoned, but it is harder to concentrate to do homework if I am really blasted, now the ironing on the other hand I can do that blasted....
