I realize that.

I don't think they should make millions of something that is already available to us all, yet made 'impossible for us to use' because its illegal; cannabis sativa.

I would consider that exploitation, wouldn't you?

My objection is that GW wants to make a fortune selling a cannabis-derived prescription drug while supporting The War on Drugs. If a person wants to use cannabis to treat an illness, GW wants to make sure that they have to buy GW's version from the pharmacist at an outrageous price rather than growing it in their garden.

For those of us without prescription coverage, it's often a question of doing without a needed prescription because it would mean not having enough money for food to feed our families.

Agreed. I am a fairly healthy person and hardly ever get sick. I have no health insurance just because. But a year ago I got really sick. The Doctor prescribed me with some medicine, and I was amazed at the price. I couldn't go to work, so I was missing out on money, and on top of that, I had to pay for this medicine! Marijuana to me, is the closest thing to free health care than anything.

Yesterday I had to buy some prescription meds to replace the medical marijuana I use for a sleep disorder. My tolerance has gotten to the point where the medical marijuana was no longer effective. It still worked, but I was using so much that I was still feeling the effects in the morning. The "hangover" was the reason I started using medical marijuana instead of the prescription in the first place. The prescription did it's job but left me feeling "dopey" for five hours after I got up.

It's been a while since I had to get this prescription filled, so I had a serious case of sticker shock. A fifteen-day supply cost me $60, and that's with a 25% discount. If I used this stuff all of the time, my annual cost would be $1,440. By contrast, my 0.3 grams/night of cannabis costs me $500/yr.

I plan to make the most out of the prescription purchase by using it to take three five-day breaks. Since I need to take a break only every 8 to 12 months, it should last me 2 to 3 years.

If GW's efforts to ban marijuana while selling marijuana-based drugs were to bear fruit, it would put poor medical marijuana patients into a world of hurt.
