I was very amused when I read the front page of your web site. I noticed that marijuana isn't even mentioned. Could this be because there isn't a need for your program with respect to marijuana addiction? Could it be that the only purpose a program like yours has, with respect to marijuana, is that those who face criminal penalties choose the option to be diverted to these types of programs to avoid the criminal stigma attatched to being arrested on marijuana charges?I also noticed this in the first sentence on your front page "treatment center staff are there to act as moral guidance". Personally, I find it highly immoral that you would deny the suffering a substance that is very effective in treating thier afflictions and then come here and try to tell them to use THC pills that have been proven, time and time again, to be ineffective, very costly and to have many undesirable side affects associated with thier use. If this is your idea of moral guidance then I say no thank you, I can do without it. I guess this is what happens when people open thier mouths without knowing what they're talking about ![]()

Like the D.E.A. and F.D.A. are really credible resources do 30 minutes of research on each (as far as mairijuana is concerned, lots of misinformation). Notice the pushing of a THC pill because the drug companies are getting paid on that as opposed to a plant that can be simply grown by most people. I cant believe the long list of body damaging physicly addicting drugs that are legal but pot which is soooooooooooooooo much safer than a lot of them is illegal. I think when it comes to medicine people should have 100% say in what treatment they want(as long as it is a legitiment treatment not weed for athletes foot), if they want a THC pill then let them take the pill if they want to smoke it because for them it works better then let them smoke it just let them have their treatment! It is no one elses buisness how they injest their medicine, if they are oppossed to marijuana treatment then let them discuss it with their doctor not there senator/president - do they have practicing PHD's in medicine to help these people? Now as for the driving on this what about the people who drive on vicadin - handle it the same way. Last edited by GREENFOODGAMES : 08-20-2008 at 03:34 PM.

Most anti-depressant drugs are snake oil. Over prescribed for profit and more often than not harming the patient's well being. They were meant for a small minority of people, and now are prescribed for just about everything. We are human, we are meant to be sad sometimes, few patients actually have the "chemical imbalance" the drugs were designed to treat. Marinol is horrible and insanely expensive, and THC pills don't work. My own doctor has said smoking it is better than taking the medically approved versions. These are people with an agenda, scare the people about drugs, so more tax money gets spent on them.

Man you ever take cough syrup and other medicines (prescribed not over the counter), read the side effects - may cough blood, vomit, diarrhea, leakage(running fluid from your bottom), DEATH, drowsiness, ONE OF MY FAVORITES: must get regular blood work done by doctor. there's more but i can't think any more. Weed lets see, may make me tired, that's why i smoke mostly to sleep with it. And depending on how often i smoke it may give me the munchies usually after i smoke for a good week i don't get the munchies but every now and then it comes back.

| The simple notion that someone can put powerful words down on a piece of paper, that they know in there hearts is wrong. When hundreds of Doctors put there license on the line to help the sick, when on the other side, they tie the users to drug crazed, crack baby having people. Mr. James is paid to help people bounce back from there drug addiction. So obviously, I can see where he is coming from. Another man, looking forward to cashing a bigger paycheck, then to acknowledge the facts. Quote:
Digestive: Abdominal pain*, nausea*, vomiting*. Nervous system: (amnesia), anxiety/nervousness, (ataxia), confusion, depersonalization, dizziness*, euphoria*, paranoid reaction*, somnolence*, thinking abnormal*. I don't know about you Mr. But I'd much rather pay for something that is allot cheaper, with allot less side effects.

Marijuana and Marinol are going to have the same side effects because their main active ingredient is the same: THC (give or take a few atoms).

The problem with trying to debate something like this with any of those people is that most of them actually believe their own bullshit. They're not going to listen, they're going to bury their heads in the sand and pretend they can't here you. Now don't get me wrong, if something needs to be said I'm all for saying it regardless of weather or not it will do any good. It's just that the only way that we are ever going to get people to see the good of marijuana is to get the drug policies changed on the federal level. The biggest obstacle to marijuana being widely accepted nation wide is the fear people have of going against the federal gov.
