As I am a moderator for a Manchester United internet forum, I figured I would start a thread in regards to my favorite sport and the area of the world that's the most competitive in football.

I will give weekly standings updates for the English Premier League and any other league and/or club/national team that any of you would like updates on or follow.

I personally love this sport and especially English football(soccer to most Americans/Aussies), as I have been raised watching it and supporting Manchester United. With the World Cup starting and the best time of the European seasons fixing to start, I figured it would be a great time to start the discussion. On that note............

Did anyone see Thierry Henry handle the ball in the box to set up France's winning goal to get into the World Cup over Ireland???

Total bullshit!! Ireland at least should get a replay or they should overturn the goal to allow them to go to the WC over France! Anyone else see this crap???

Any Magic: TG PLayers?

I've gotten in and out of magic over the years, but no matter what, I always seem to keep coming back. Also, sorry if there's a thread like this, but I searched for magic and the only things that came up were about magic mushrooms and other unrelated topics lol. Anyway though, just wondering how many people here play. What's your color preference? Ever played in a pro match? Which set do you like the best so far?
I'd also like to get people from the boards to play online with each other. There's a free program, (I'm not endorsing anything or trying to advertise or anything) called magic workstation. With it, you can download all the cards from Alpha to Zendikar with complete pictures and everything, build decks, and play over the internet. It's similar to Magic Online, but you don't have to buy anything. Maybe we can get some tourneys going and award grams or something. :)

Anyone who is interested, although the season is a few weeks old, let me know as I am in a few leagues and they are a blast! Nothing more than I love than to sit here stoned, eating satisfying the munchies, and doing useless shit on the web! :D

If you are interested, say so and include whether you prefer the free service on CBSSportsline or Yahoo. Then I will start the league and send out emails, also PM me your email address so I can send the invites to the league! :deal:

We need at least 8 no more than 12 for the league, if many want to join we can always elect another person to start a 2nd league. Let me know if your interested by Friday 9pm Central US Time.

Holy shit, I just saw the greatest game ever. Wow haha i'm still in shock right now. As much as I HATE the new england patriots they played great. i'm still in shock, wow. these are the types of games i live for haha. i'm so happy we have peyton manning and just every one of our veterans. sorry if i pissed some of you NE patriots fans off.

It's a game where you improve stats, get moves, make moves better, create finishers, get different types of matches, etc. All about creating a professional wrestler. Really fun. I began playing a while ago and then reset my character and restarted. Come have some fun if you like wrestling or if not it is still fun.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is probably the best game ive played yet, the storyline, graphics ( I play xbox 360), weapons, and the new special ops and vehicles made this game amazing and i think its easily the best game ive played. What does everyone else think?

Giants right-hander Tim Lincecum must confront misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and use of drug paraphernalia, stemming from an incident in Washington State last week.

According to a report in The Columbian of Clark County, Wash., Lincecum was stopped for speeding on Interstate 5 on the morning of Oct. 30. The National League's reigning Cy Young Award winner was driving 74 mph in a 60-mph zone about four miles north of the Oregon border at the wheel of a 2006 Mercedes Benz.

A Washington State Patrol trooper, who used a laser device to catch Lincecum speeding at 8:23 a.m., pulled the Mercedes over. The news report said that the trooper smelled marijuana when Lincecum rolled down the window. Asked to produce the drug, Lincecum withdrew a small pouch and a pipe from the car's dashboard console.

Steve Schatzel, a Washington State Patrol trooper and spokesman, said that the amount of marijuana Lincecum handed over was 3.3 grams. Schatzel described the amount as the size of a human thumb, enough only for personal use. Schatzel added that Lincecum did not seem impaired.
Lincecum, 25, was released after being fined $622 for speeding and for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He's scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 23 in Clark County District Court.

A native of Bellevue, Wash., Lincecum attended Liberty High School in Renton, Wash., before proceeding to the University of Washington.

Anyone remember the Sega Channel? It was sweet. It was like, a cable channel for video games. There was cool shit like Earthworm Jim, and Klax, and Dr. Robotnik's beans or some shit. There was also this role playing one that I don't remember. I just remember you gain people in your little group, and there was this fat kid named Lowe or something. And it was pretty much like the Gameboy Pokemon games, but waaaay before Pokemon. And instead of Pokemon, there were people. lol, my description isn't very helpful.... But, there were sooo many games, and they changed each month. I'm a pretty hardcore Super Mario World fan, but I have some very fond memories of the Sega channel games... Yet know one else I know ever had it, or has ever known what I'm talking about...
