I have been battling weather or not to throw down the cash $65 for TombRaider Underworld for myPS3, I did last night. I'm a huge TR fan and I'm blown away by this version. The atmosphere is at a all time high in regardless to Epicness. Lush, lush forest and deep wet dripping caves make it an Artistic Masterpiece. The camera's a tad odd, but you get it down well by the second level. I'm playing on a 65" Flat screen LCD ( to Me) and it like being transported across the globe. I'm going to make this short and sweet, if you like Tomb Raider - BUY THIS GAME its better than the original, Yes, It's that good.

I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light.

I haven't finished it yet, but it's PURE TombRaider. Some People can't stand TR and just dog it all the time. The Critics have given it around 8ish with a few at 9 and those are like me saying its the best one yet. You can look at the screens and see the textures are fantastic. Player reviews are all above 9. Rent it if your not a TR fan. TR lovers are in for a treat. BTW have you played Uncharted?

I'm also a fan of Tomb Raider, and I'm betting that this game is no better or worse than any of the others. You run around leaping ledges and stealing. Not enough combat. Probably still takes 800 god damn head shots to kill a single tiger. Can you honestly tell us that it's not the same game with different box art and shinier graphics?

I said above its PURE Tomb Raider so yes its the same play mechanics. Doesn't sound like your a fan even though you stated you are. The incredible textures do bring out more realism or immersion, I'm loving it.

Well I definitely play them more than anybody I've ever met. I don't dislike them. I do admittedly find them to be somewhat generic, and it takes too much ammunition to kill things. Some games remain pretty much the same (Armored Core) because they were good enough the first time.

For some reason I just enjoy those games that encourage you to scour every crevice of the stages (like Oblivion). I'm also a fan of Gran Turismo (though boring as balls) and other games where I have a profile or character to build.

I love the concept/story/graphics of Tomb Raider, but the play mechanics make me want to slam my face in a filing cabinet.

If Tomb Raider had the play mechanics of Metal Gear Solid, I'd play it.

Well I'm back and I must now say the game is incredibly BUGGY. It must have been released with almost no beta stage, Its playable and I love the design but you have to pull it off to be good so now I'm rating this game a 6 and not worth the money. After numerous WTH moments I'm obligated to update my thoughts and I'd hate someone spending their cash on it only to be disappointed. Its technical issues (see:RUSHED) that brings it down.
