Alive-And-Dreaming

I had some extra cash chillin in my pocket, and I have no reason to buy any bud, seeing as how I can't smoke, so I thought I'd hit up my local skate-and-graffiti shop. Stepped inside, and I was immediatly drawn to a deck so beautiful I couldn't not have it.

I have a seventies complex, in that I really wish I was a teenager during the seventies, so when I saw this baby, it was mine from the start:


It's obviously not a real Big Hobie (it's an arbor) but god damn! I spent the afternoon riding it around, wobbling a shitload, but I finally got the hang of it, and let me tell you, it curves smoother than a longboard with springtrucks. Picked up the whole kit, with special trucks, wheels and the deck for around 180$. If you ever get the oppertunity to ride one of these, don't pass it up. their awesome. All I need now is a fishtale and I'll have a complete collection

I've got two boards almost exactly like that, except one's plastic. They were both my dad's/uncle's when they were kids. I haven't used them in a long time, but I do remember that they were wobbly as hell and the plastic one had these wide ass, shitty plastic wheels that would powerslide for days.
