| anyone here play paintball? Me and a few friends are going to get into it this summer and we have some great ideas for games to play. Of course deathmatch and capture the flag will be used, and some other ideas we had were using a limited number of paintballs like 10 or so, and the grandest idea of all paintball canoe race. I mean we come from a backwater cow town so we usually shoot bottle rockets at each other from canoes, this way theres no explosions to watch out for and the canoe wont light on fire like it did so many times before. Anyone got any pointers? Stories? Advice on what kind of inexpensive gun to buy ( $150.00 is the highest ill pay for one) Cleric![]() |

| A cheap gun will suck. My old friend bought four cheap paintball guns that absolutely sucked. The paintball would fly off at weird angles and you could never hit anyone unless they were a few feet from you. Maybe they were just a rip-off. I once played with this real jerk. I mean a 100% *sshole. I would have killed him if it wasnt illegal. The world would be a better place without him. But anyway, he tried to shoot me when I was standing right next to him and the game was over. I hate him so f*cking much. We played in the backyard of a friends house and it was intensely stupid. No strategy involved at all. I like the ten paintball idea. | |

| Shooting bottle rockets at each other in canoes!? That has to be an adrenaline rush. Anyone get hit by one? Anyway, no you won't get a good gun for $150, maybe $250-$350. Check out Spyder guns, they are good and pretty cheap for guns. And the barrel makes it shoot further and straighter. By deathmatch do you mean speed ball? In speed ball you and either a team or one on one play in a very small area, and last one or team standing wins. Paintball is one of the best "sports" there is. Takes smarts, skills, and good reaction time. And it's sooooo much fun. I've never played high, yet, but I heard it's crazy. With balls flying all over and sh!t.

| yeah those bottle rockets are dangerous they leave scars sometimes and yes we do get hit. If your quick you can jump away before it explodes and just feel the sting of something shooting at your body doing 40mph. I havent had a serious injury but my cousins hair caught on fire, but thats enough talk of the redneck games we poor cow town folk play ![]() Wow 1000 for a paintball gun jeez thats tons. Theres a sports shop here in my town i might check them out i know he sells used guns maybe he has a good price (doubt it) I dont wanna spend like 300 bucks and then not like the game thats the only problem im facing right now. Yeah the ones at walmart dont look good anyway i mean they are plastic, with my activeness id be running up a tree and crush the lil hunk of junk. By deathmatch i mean just running in the woods all playing solo and shooting each other, 10 hits and your out for the game, the last man standing wins. I really cant wait untill it gets warm to do this!! It seems like tons of fun. Nothing better then shooting friends and having it be legal. My friends play a little bit but they have played for years so i wouldnt play with them for a little bit so as to avoid being the fresh meat kid. I know some people who want to start up when i do. You said spyders a good brand? Ill check what the sports shop has here for that kind. Are paintballs environmentally safe? If not im out altogether but someone said they were so i wont have a problem (i dont want to upset the earth) Anyway thanks for your help guys ill let ya know what guns this guys got. Cleric![]() |

| Do this Celric. Look in your phonebook for a paintball field, go there and play. Usually like $30-$50 to get everything and play. Usually they have a pro-shop and you can buy good guns and all the equipment you need. Other wise visit thie site: http://www.888paintball.com, I haven't been into paintball lately, been kind of busy and didn't have money, but I think this is a good site my friends buy from it sometimes. http://www.kingmanusa.com - Is the official site of Spyder guns. And yes, paintballs are totally safe. You can even eat them, but they aren't too good. I think they are made out of olive oil or something. And they disintegrate. So you can do anything with then and no worries about harming the environment. |

| I have a few fond memories of paintball! The best one i can remember has re-occured a few times in the past year or so. There is a time, when you are in a state between being oh so stoned and drunk, and passing out. And in that time me and a freind or two would find ourselves popping eachother with paintballs from 10 feet away. It was genious! We would take turns putting on hockey pads, and a welders helmet, and we would just pop the other person a good 50 times or so, untill our CO2 went low, and we had to recharge it. But man what an adrenialan rush that was. hell just from 10 feet away we missed about half the shots cause we were so trahsed. Another good memeory i have of paintball was a father son paintball tourney me and my dad went to freshamn year. We had a blast, i also was the star of the show for a while, cause i captured that first flag of the game, but we ended up in a tie ![]() But yea, painball guns rule!

| If your series about limiting your paintballs to around 10, you should look into getting a stock gun. They run around $100-200, for good ones. but go to www.888-paintball.com they have a good selection for reasonable prices. | |

| Ok well, i been playing paintball for like 4 years now, i got a sweet 99 cocker ^_^. Anway, for $150 you should probably look towards a m98. But the stock barrels aboslutey SUCK. You can't hit a barn from 10 feet away with them. 888paintball.com sucks, don't buy from them. But if $150 is your budget, better watch out cause paintball is a very expensive sport. Figuring you play at a field, not backyard-ball, but a real field. Your gonna pay about $20 for admission, then like $80-100 for a case. Then air would be able $4 a fill for a 20oz co2 or so. And like $10 all day-air from nitro. All fields vary. |
