I play poker whenever I can, which isn't that often. We generally play nickel ante, or if I'm with some scared rookies I break out a bag of pennies and just split em up.

Just wondering if anyone else plays spades. Down here where i'm from, it's like tradition.

I think I spent at least one year of my life playing spades in college Anyway, thing about spades is there are an ASSLOAD of variations so you always have to get the ground rules down... and then you'll still miss something.

Although I've never played spades before, I still prefer Hearts. I've heard that they're a lot alike, though.

Although the objects of the game are practically complete opposites, damn near everyone who plays spades seems to play hearts also. If you know how to play one, it's only a few minutes to learn the other.
