X-box is by far the most powerfull console system but it all comes down to if they get some good games.

X-Box has the potential of destroying PS-2 if they get some good games. I love PS-2, but I'd rather have an X-Box....or maybe both if I can come up with the $ -- side note: X-Box runs off a 700mhz pentium, has a GeForce 3 graphics processor, a hard drive, and internet connectivity...im not sure about the specs on PS-2, but knowing the capacity of a GeForce 3 graphics card, the X-Box has the potential of being the ultimate gaming system to date. Let's just hope the games are good

if windows is any indacation of the "quailty" (sp?) products that M$ puts out then the X-Box should be just as "good" as windoze

If I were to buy a new system I would go with PS2, FFX is on it and that is all I care about. I play mostly strategy games and A computer is best for that.

well jesus....an x-box is basically a computer souped up to be a gaming machine anyways. i'm gonna stick with the ps2.

and another thing...ps2's controllers are by far the best (IMO) on any console to date.

Well this is how i feel about the 3 new gaming systems of this year.

Xbox= computer for someone who cant operate an ordinary computer well. Its like a hack job, someone threw a modem on a machine with decent graphics and memory, big whoop buy a diesel computer for an extra 400 bucks and enjoy having a variety of emulators of all your favorite video games, and incredible speed way beyond 700mhz too! Most of the games that make it big will probably be bisexual, able to be played on computer and xbox, after all Bill Gates isnt stupid he wont let his pc world go to waste because of console gaming.

Ps2= Yet again a computer for the person who cant work a real computer. Decent graphics, decent memory, and a modem. But heres where im torn. To date no playstation computer emulator works really great on computers, unless you have a really kick ass computer it runs a little choppy, if that. And playstation comes out with some wicked good games. Thps1,2,3 just to name my favorites. This is why i would buy a playstation 2 and would say its the best bet for your money.

Gamecube= Please, let me get this straight i was a nintendo kid growing up, i loved nintendo and held a heavy addiction to it from the age of 6 on up to 15, but now i sit at my computer and enjoy every nintendo game on my computer that i like. All of nintendos systems are easy to find onemulator and i wont be the least bit surprised if see this one pop up too. But it will crank out a few good titles by the time it withers away into nothingness Cant wait to see perfect dark 2.

So what im saying in short is in my opinion the ps2 is the best buy if your looking at one of the new gaming systems to buy this year.

to some people, everyone lets just think why we have awesome computers (mine being a p3 800 with dvd, 128megs and the works) all we have them for is GAMES. a 400megherzt is all anyone needs to run the regular progs we want, but anything with acceleration is basiclly for games. so Im gonna still buy an x-box becuz it well be the funniest thing with 4 people playin project gothem racing, and just wait, x-box is gonna have tons of awesome games, they might even get final fantasy for the RPG heads out there

yeah, that's one thing that x-box has in its specs that no other console does: BILL GATES. he could basically get any company he wants to make games for x-box.
