napster was the best thing. I used to make a huge list of song and leave the computer on all night downloading and when i woke up i would have like 50-60 new songs.

The best thing now is audiogalxy, but theiy are caving in too...There are a bunch of bands you cant download anything, sucks pretty bad.

I like Morpheus, though I haven't been able to connect to the server. Maybe I should try again, I haven't in a while. Napster was the best, and always will be, they're never going to get anything as good as Napster was.

It has annoying ads and spyware, and it contains a distributed computing thing that uses some of your computer's resources so that some company can buiild a network for free using your hardware. Get Kazaa Lite instead. It's the same thing but with all that crap removed.

it works real good
unfortunately lots of ppl somehow turn off downloading and you d/l like 30 porn vids and all but 2 of them come up busy/queable.
does kazaa lite still fudge up computers like normal kazaa?

Morpheus PE is crap. I can't even connect to the damned server on it. I had Napster, and it was the king! But I have shed all my tears now. I have Morpheus, audiogalaxy, KaZaA and MinMX all working together. All this hits the modem line big time! I have over 600 MP3s, and manage fine working with all the programs - one of them is bound to have the song I want. However Napster was like all of these rolled into one, and won't be as good once they re-release it (on a payable format). Pity, especially when there is proof that when Napster was at it's largest, record sales where up! So the courts kick something that was harmless to the industry. Kinda sound familiar...

If you get Kazaa get Ad-aware and run it after you use kazaa every time. Ad-aware searches for spyware and crap like that.
