| He says some crazy stuff. I can't remember what player he was talking about but he said..."He will be more productive the longer he stays inbounds."...goodness gracious. You wanna learn how football is played listen to this guy. Freakin idiot. I like his video games though, as long as I put the tv on mute so I don't have to listen to his voice.

| I particularly liked it when he ripped the Pats for trying to get in field goal range instead of going to overtime. Uh, whatever. If it were the Rams he wouldn't have given it a second thought, since they regularly traverse the field in a minute. Why act like the Pats are idiots for doing it? Anyway... they showed him! |

| John Madden is the working man's commentator, he doesn't try to make himself out to be a scholar. You don't get some pretentious ass trying to be someone he isn't; with John Madden you get the real thing. I'll take John Madden over Jerry Glanville any friggin day. Oh, and about his saying the Patriots should've been conservative and play for the tie and OT, he was right. From that deep in their own territory it was a major risk to throw the ball, yet Belichick rolled the dice and the gamble paid off. John Madden would've said the same thing had it been the Rams going the other direction because he doesn't favor one team over another, he commentates on the game/play at hand. And even though Brady was able to complete the passes each time the ball was aired out there was the distinct possibility that a Ram could come down with it instead of the intended receiver. It was a dumb risk, but it paid off, so it'll be touted as genius.

| Well you see...If they can put the ball in the endzone...that'll be a touchdown...that's what they want to do....if they have to kick a field goal...that will only be worth 3...so they would rather get the touchdown |

| John Madden and Pat Summerall are old bafoons. They should not be working football games anymore. Summerall called a 2nd and 8 a 3rd and 4 for some reason. He also said "Faulk gets sacked." He called Brady "Bledsoe" once. He probably has a hard enough time not drueling on himself. And Madden. Madden has a great grasp for the obvious. The problem is that everyone can what he sees. No one wants commentary that they could do themselves. I like a commentator or brings up interesting facts and topics, not one who points out that a running back has to pass the line of scrimmage to gain yardage. Madden sounds like he is addressing an audience of 5 year olds. He is an insult to the intelligence of America. |

| who says intelligence in america even exists? just kidding, chill. seriously though, commentating is NOT as easy as it looks. if you can do it without screwing up once every 10 seconds or so, you're good at it. |

| Screwing up once in a while is ok. Suddenly forgetting where you are, sputtering, and wetting yourself is not ok. I will give them credit for still trying though |
