I used to love pogs.... I used to go to the dolar store and get them all the time.... 25 for a buck, or 200 for $5. I used to beat all the kids at recess in 3rd and 4th grade then they would cry cuz it was for keeps.... They got banned from school so pretty much everyone stopped playing. I used to have this awesome brass slammer and all the Power Ranger promotional pogs from McDonalds... Ahhhh, those were the days......

Can anyone tell me the purpose of pogs? I mean, I used to have a ton, but I cant remember why.

to play pogs each person stacks an equal number of pogs in a pile and take turns trying to flip them over with the slammer by dropping it or throwing it ontop of the pile. Whichever pogs you flip, you keep.

Odd.... Pogs were like.... THE THING up here in vermont for a couple years in the mid nineties. All of the kids played pogs, but there were too many disputes about kids being sore losers and crying about it so they were banned from pretty much every school around here so the fad died cuz a bunch of cry babies.... Oh well, it was fun while it lasted....

heh, ya I used to be mad about that game, I even started to design my own. After I moved outta elementary school I gave all of them to my little sister.
