This game is going to be the next "breakthrough" game, i have the alpha version already its sooo sweet.

Anyone else heard of it coming out soon?

In terms of graphics it will be breakthrough. But overall I think Halflife 2 will be a better game.

Doom 3 is supposidly released on 4/14/04

Do you know when it's coming out? They've changed the dates so much. I remember how CS:Condition Zero was supposed to be released last March or something and it's STILL not here. Probably gonna be developed with HL2.

Yeah they've been pushing back the release for HL2 a lot. But supposidly it's 3/31/04.

Doom3 is supposed to have like 4 player limit in multiplayer...FOUR!?...that just ruins the game and makes me not even want to spend the $ for it.

Doom 3 is being built for single player. I wouldn't be surprised if it blows everything away, despite being a single-player based game. IMO, FPS games since the original Quake have been too geared for multiplayer. Those games are only fun when you can find good games online, that have low lag, and non-cheating players. The single player modes are horribly lacking and have poor continuity.

Not to say I don't enjoy a good online game of UT, but I prefer single player modes more, since they're less reliant on connection quality and fair players (at least when the computer cheats it does so regularly, and unbiasedly).

Doom was the first computer game i played i must have been what 7-8 when it first came out....

i cant wait for this game, ive got so many childhood and memories now of plaing doom across mutiple consoles...

You mean Day of Defeat? If so, GREAT game. Love it. Only bad thing is that there are people who play it nonstop and thus can get a headshot on you from across the map just by guessing it sucks.
