Oh, I just thought of this. It might help some new players if they had some places to go and learn how to play.. Well this is what has helped me become cal-im.

gotfrag.com - download cs movies and demos. If you need help playing demos just ask me here, it was a pain for me to figure it out.

csnation.net - good news site, and also has some good strategy articles.

counter-strike.net - official site, info-packed forums.

team3d.net - another places to download demos.. all demos here are of team 3d (one of the most successful and longest-running american CPL teams ever)

thecpl.com - website for the cyberathlete professional league, fun to look at even if we all know we'll never make cpl

caleague.com - cyberathlete amateur league. I suggest you get a team and sign up for cal as soon as you get good.

fragbite.com - yes, it's all in some germanic language that I don't understand, but it has many european team demos. I guess if you run out of demos at gotfrag you can go here lol..

ive played since 1.3. i used to play competitively, we made it to main for 2 seasons before we died. #slackers.ol

i just play once in a while for fun now though

i love cs.. im generally the best person in whatever server i play in, especially stoned. when im ripped i can do so well, or suck major ass.

i want to play competitively but i dont know how to try out for a team or something.. i know im good enough, anyone need a good player?

if you have irc you should just go to #findclan or #findringer on gamesnet and scrim with some teams, if they think you're good enough theyll let u join

I started playing just as they phased out 1.5. I play 1.6, Condition Zero, and Source. I learned playing 1.6 the hard way, with an underpowered laptop video card that got 20 FPS on the first five minutes and 10 FPS when it warmed up.

1.6 I play for actual "practice." Condition Zero is great if I'm just looking to kick everyone's ass. :P Source is good for a little of both. I don't consider myself a great player, just decent.

Yeah I got HL2 and CS: Source the day they came out on shelves... Counter-Strike is definitely one of the best multiplayer FPS in the world, more fun than Halo 2 IMO... Anyways, I play as arise257 and my favorite weapon is the Steyer AUG... come online and get pwned...
