Anyone here play poker?

After seeing the texas hold'em poker tournaments on tv, I decided to learn how to play. Now me and friends play during school. We use school supplies for money... I haven't had to buy any kind of school supplies in a while

This past Sunday, I got some clay poker chips like used in the casino, and started practicing a trick with them. Ever watch the pros on tv and see them take a big stack of chips, make it into two stacks, and then shuffle the stacks together with one hand? I can FINALLY do it!

My friends and I play poker for money. Not much, $5 or $10 buy-in, but it's still poker. I'm surprised so few responses, it seems that everyone plays nowadays.

I'm with a roommate this year who is big into Texas Hold 'Em. I learned how to play fairly quickly, since straight five-card is what I love playing. I find that I process the statistics for a win in my head fairly well, albeit abstractly. Every game I've played so far I either won or came close. I have yet to play for money, though.

I love poker.

We play every one/two months, a big game, with quaters, nickels, and dimes for the money. Side bets gets the paper money. Sometimes people walk up with an extra $100 or so.

I started learning and playing poker at 14, im 20 now.

I played over new year's eve with a few friends of my step-dad. $10 buy in and I came out 15 cents ahead It was plenty of fun but some of the different games were too complex for me. Nothing I like better in cards than simple 5 card draw

yeah Ive always loved poker...last year we started playing whiskey poker at school, its kinda different and fun.
I like watching texas hold em on tv, havent really played it except on yahoo and thats just too slow and not that exciting for me, I prefer live poker with real money. Havent had a good poker get together in a long time..should have one soon though, would be pretty good.
