It has little to do with the cold weather. Its the fact that the Pats have been, and clearly more than ever still are, a much better team than the Colts from front to back, and to every single guy on the bench.
We were in the lot before the game doing some minor tailgaiting when the first few flakes started coming down, and that was as good a sign as we'd asked for. I can't tell you how good a feeling it is to firmly believe that you are gonna win every time you get to the Stadium, but thats how we've felt for the last 2 years as Pats fans. We're in the middle of one of the best runs a football team has ever had, and yesterday's game was just complete domination. My favorite moments were when Bruschi just ripped the ball out of Dom Rhodes hands and took the ball with him to the sidelines, and when, during a tv timeout late in the 4th, the PA played the first few minutes of my favorite Who song:

"Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss."

Indeed.

edit: 2 other quick things, as I watch ESPN.
1. Freddie Mitchell is the MAN. Good game in Philly, great postgame wardrobe (bowtie and Indiana Jones Hat), and one funny bastard.
2. Boomer Esiason is the best football commentator out there. Also, one of the few with enough sack to compare Dan Marino to Payton Manning for being great QB's who can't win in the playoffs., WHILE SITTING NEXT TO MARINO! Accurate, and very ballsy. ALso, he was one of the few national guys to say that the Pats would manhandle Indy.

My friends and I had a few theories on the Steeler's poor (yet still winning) performance this past weekend.

Ben hadn't played a game in a while and, was somewhat injured too.

And the Steelers hadn't played a game in a week or so. And no matter how much you practice, practice still isn't the same as a game.

And the reason we squeaked by was because it was my birthday. And my Birthday was good luck. haha. Just lemme think that it was.......

I'm a little worried about NE. They've kicked ass the past few years.... ya never know though. I have faith in my Steelers...

Now you may know that I am a Cowboys fan, but I was rooting for the Jets in the playoffs. I mean, you can blame Doug Brien for the loss, but I think it was pretty clear that the Steelers outplayed the Jets, even if the Steelers didn't have their best game. The Jets do need a better kicker though, because Brien sucked all season. I'm now going for the Falcons just because they are the underdogs. I also happen to hate all Philly sports teams, hate the Steelers (rivals with Dallas in the 70s), and hate the Pats (just the fact that they play in the same state as the Red Sox makes me hate them).

It has taken me a few years, but I might just jump on the Pats bandwagon. It would have been too obvious if I had last year or two years ago, so I've been waiting for a time when they suck, that way I'm not just jumping. Unfortunately (fortunately), they seem to not lose, so maybe I'll give it a hop.

Can't wait for the Steeler parties this weekend.

Drunken, high, and rowdy Stiller fans are ALWAYS fun.

I'm gunna have absolutely no nails left by the end of that game. I'll bite them all off in nervousness. I'm real excited.

Eh, I thought Meet The Fockers was kind of dissapointing, but I guess he still has plenty of fans.

Looks like it's the Pats -vs- Philly in the super bowl.
