This voyage, which departs from Miami and visits Nassau, St. Thomas/St. John and St. Maarten, marks the [seventh] “Rusty Wallace Cruise” hosted by the NASCAR legend. Carnival's ‘Rusty Wallace Cruises' are among the most popular and well- attended theme cruises in the industry, with (thousands) of racing fans participating in the previous six voyages. “We're delighted to again partner with Rusty to continue this popular series, this time on the spectacular new Carnival Valor,” said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO. During the cruise, participants will have opportunities to interact with Wallace through a number of invitation-only events, including autograph and question and answer and photo sessions. In conjunction with Wallace's recent announcement that he is retiring from the racing circuit, a private cocktail reception – “Rusty's Last Call” – and a special farewell ceremony will be held on board. A wide variety of prizes and memorabilia will be available, as well, everything from complimentary race passes and authentic racing shirts autographed by Wallace to an opportunity to serve as a member of Wallace's pit crew during a race. A number of racing-themed contests and giveaways will also be held. “Rusty Wallace Cruise” participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy Carnival Valor's wide range of on-board amenities and facilities, which include 22 lounges and bars, a 13,300-square-foot health club, full casino gambling, four swimming pools and a 214-foot-long water slide. Dining options include two two-deck-high main dining rooms, an expansive poolside restaurant, an upscale reservations-only supper club, a patisserie, a sushi bar, and complimentary 24-hour room service. Carnival Valor also boasts a 4,200-square-foot enclosed play area, part of the line's top-rated “Camp Carnival” children's program, along with an 1,800-square-foot teen club/game room. The first 100 bookings will receive “Rusty Wallace Cruise” goodie bags filled with a variety of Carnival logo items and racing paraphernalia. Reservations are currently being accepted for the 2005 “Rusty Wallace Cruise” aboard the Carnival Valor. Prices begin at $629 per person based on double occupancy. Special rates for third and fourth guests sailing in the same stateroom, along with air add-ons from more than 170 North American gateways, are also available. Participants must reference fare code CPRW when making a reservation to be eligible for the invitation-only events taking place on these voyages. | Usually people who arent interested in something dont invest the time into it to really appreciate the intricacies of it. As an avid NASCAR since 1989 Ive learned much about the effort and depth of knowledge it takes to perform well in any form of racing. My brother races on a local dirt track and even though these are just newb drivers it is difficult to win a race. Alot of people say"theyre judt driving in circles" I say no, they are racing ing circles. It takes a great deal of patience and inner strength to race past many other well prepared cars without smashing into other cars or walls and ruining the day. I guess alot of my interest also stems from being raised in the shadow of Daytona Intl. Speedway. Just my thoughts on the sport. |

| Dude, I think I found Incognito Rusty!!!!! He started a thread in general topics. Something about trying to quit speeding, I guess the advice dicn't work . Yeah that was pretty wicked how Tony's wheel just broke off. He did a good job wheelin' that thing back to the pits. It really pisses me off that Gordon made up 3 laps AND won. Son of a ***** .So much for shorttrack season, I believe we should have won both them races At least were running good consistently, lets roll on to TX. ![]() |
