Well, I must say that my bracket has been busted up a bit after Wake Forest lost to West Virginia earlier. What a weekend it's been thus far. You have UW-Milwaukee making it to the sweet 16, you have Syracuse being knocked out by Vermont in the first round (!!! GRR), and you have Bobby Knight's Texas Tech team advancing past Gonzaga. I thought I heard everyone saying this is Gonzaga's year to get to the Final Four? How about Kansas getting knocked out quickly, too? So much for the dream scenario of Roy Williams' Tar-heels against his former Jayhawks team. How about that Utah team with Andrew Bogut? Wow. This is shaping up to be one of the more interesting tournaments i've seen in awhile. Some more games on tap for today! I'm sure i'm not the only one keeping up with the tournament here, am I? Go Tar-Heels! ![]() And Go Ashley Judd for being a fan of College Hoops! (even if you are a Kentucky fan)

One thing I couldn't help but thinking when I was watching the Vt.-Syracuse game the other day was, Would anyone be able to beat Syracuse if they still had Carmelo? I think they'd run the table if they had him. Now their season's over...

What happened to my Gators? They looked so good in the SEC tourney. How much longer do I have to put up with first weekend washouts.Milwaukee-Wisc. are very impressive Though I have to pick Ill. to win it all or pick someone new after next weekend. I always pick the wrong teams. When is football season? ![]()

This year's tournament is so screwed up! Two of the teams I had in the Final Four have been knocked out (Syracuse, Wake Forest). I'm rooting for Utah and Andrew Bogut as of right now. I swear, if Duke even makes it to the Finals I'm going to be pissed! I hate Duke.

I have UNC/Illinois in my Championship game, with of course, UNC winning it. This is Roy Williams year, I just hope no hiccup comes along on the way to stop it (injuries, etc.) *crosses fingers* I'm not that big of a Duke fan, either but I respect Mike Krzyzewski as a coach, and I respect what he's done with that program during his tenure there. I also gotta tip my hat to J.J Redick as he's matured greatly and he's a great pure shooter. However, in terms of pure shooters, I gotta give the nod to Arizona's Salim Stoudemire, boy that kid can shoot. Anyway... Go Tar-Heels! | |

No kiddin. Stoudemire is going to make it big in the NBA someday, I believe. Duke is like the Patriots/Shaqful Lakers of the NCAA. I hate dominant teams that always seem to do good. Go underdogs!

No discussions lately, huh? Final Four time, people! Before the Sweet-16, my friend and I decided to re-do our brackets and I had a Final Four of: Illinois/Louisville and UNC/Kentucky. Damn those Spartans for ruining it! :P The weekend's games were awesome, with the exception of the UNC game. I'm surprised that they didn't clean house with Wisconsin. Regardless, I like the Final Four as it is right now and i'm looking forward to the games. Illinois/Louisville is gonna be amazing to watch. I really gotta tip my hat off to Rick Pitino with what he's done, and how he was able to "coach em up" that game, what with his star player Francisco Garcia fouling out with 4:00 mins left to play. Tremendous job. As Dicky V would say "i'm still picking those Tar-Heels baby!" Roy Williams deserves this one, and I feel he's destined for it. I just hope those Spartans don't pull off another upset for the third straight week. X( In addition, I must say, it's a little disheartening to see Kentucky go because, I can't get enough of Ashley Judd, even if she is a KT fan. ![]()

Illinois/UNC in the big game, baby! Though I must have been high when I made my Sporting News bracket, I put Wake Forest instead of Illinois in the final game, but in every other bracket I made, I had Illinois/UNC in the final game. Oh well! ![]() Be sure to watch it on Monday everybody!
