| Wow man can't beleive it..Just finished smoking and was thinking about starting up the same thread... I'm a fishing fanatic but not much bass where I am... I used to be a salmon and steelhead guide in my younger years... Got a year round job at a remote camp, so don't get to go as much as I used to... Do you find that you catch more fish when You are stoned or straight. I know you are going to think of this as a coincidence but too many times right after sparking up, I end up hooking into a fish... Other times my non toking friends say "spark one up" so I do , and you guess fish on... Like I said this has happened at least 50 times before... |

| I am just getting into flyfishing... Usually when we are steelhead fishing we use what we call a dinkfloat that adusts the depth of the water by sliding up and down your mainline...then some splitshot, barrell swivel and leader and bait-lure... Most fish we get 80% we get on roe with the other 20 on artificials.. I have a driftboat which makes it nice to go down the river and anchor anywhere...Now Salmon, we tend to troll using downriggers and release clips attached to the downrigger wire so that when a fish strikes he pulls free from the heavy lead cannonball and downrigger setup... usually we use bait(herring anchovie) but spoons plugs and an assortment of other lures are around(they catch more fishermen than fish)..There are other methods of fishing both of the above, but these to me are the most popular methods. |

| When I used to live on the East Coast (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina) I would go ocean fishing all the time. We would usually catch shark. They taste damn good too, a lot like swordfish. Good with just some lemon-pepper sauce

| I live right along the Missouri River, arguably one of the best Walleye systems in the US. Even so, I spend most of my fishing time on bass....largemouth, smallmouth, and white. I do spend some time after walleyes every year, and occasionally pick up some Rainbow trout as well. My two biggest fish this year are a 4 lb largemouth, and a 5.8 lb....crap...I mean CARP. Trashy fishy indeed, but stil a lot of fun to reel in if they are big enough!

| Oh my God...Fishing rules. This buddy of mine and I usually go out a couple times a week. We'll both bring weed and match a couple of bowls during the fishing (using worms and Bobbers so we can just sit there and chill). We'll also usually go in the evening so we can catch the sunset and whatnot, which is frickin amazing. We don't even really catch a lot of fish, but it's amazingly entertaining and fun to do (plus getting outside sometimes is good). F-yeah to fishing!

| There's nothing like saltwater fishing. I will fish freshwater but the true excitement is where the tides run. ![]() |

| I agree that off shore fishing is much more exciting than fishing freshwater fishing. I've been many times out in the Gulf. Most of the time, I went out on one of the party boats. It's fun, but can be crowded. Once though, my dad and uncle, threw some money together and we went out on a chartered boat. It's way better that way. We caught a lot of King Mackrel, and red snapper, vermilion snapper, and some other stuff. I caught a shark about 3 1/2 ft long (don't remember what kind). I went out one night last weekend with some buddies, and caught about a 15 pound blue catfish. We wasn't even out there 20 minutes when I caught it. Then we sit out there for another 6 hours or so, and didn't catch anything else other than a few carp. |
