Any poker players?

Myself I prefer No Limit Texas Hold Em, which seems to be the craze right now. I play online at yahoo but it sucks.
If I had windows on my computer I would play at pokerstars.net
However online sucks compared to playing with a bunch of buddies for real money, thats where its at

Yeah man, real face-to-face poker is uncomparable to any other online alternative. I love to play poker but I rarely get the time to do so as it takes time to arrange, but when I do I'll be holding a glass of hennessey (with ice), and a fat blunt just chillin with some nice music playing in the background. I don't play poker for the money, it's just a fun thing for me, when you're there just to take peoples money it takes the atomosphere away. Not that we don't play with money, it's just not that important to win.

I'm addicted to gambling, you could call me a gamble-aholic I suppose. I live a couple hours from Vegas, and ever since I turned 21 I've been there so many times. I'm an aggressive player too. I snuck into the high rollers room at the Bellagio and was playing European Roulette, with a $300 minimum hand. I literally threw away $900 in 3 minutes. Even when I play blackjack (my game of choice) I bet really big. I'll throw $500 on a hand at a $5 minimum table. It's the only way to win really: you gotta bet big to win big. I play a lot of online poker (pacificpoker.com) but it's nowhere near the same as face-to-face poker. My friends and I play once a week usually and we have a lot of fun doing it. Gambling, oh so fun!

Definitely love to gamble, too. Playing Hold 'em with friends has become a staple of ours. We usually have sessions that last for hours, up until the next morning. We play for the atmosphere and also for the getting into each other's heads, beating one another up at the table. It's fun, I must admit.

I'm not as experienced as Mr. Logic in the Vegas gambling. I just hit the tables up for the first time on my last trip to Vegas. That was back in September of last year. I came to the $10 blackjack table with $40 bucks, and left the night with $550 bucks in my pocket. Beginners luck perhaps? Nah, I think it was the setup we had at the table. But, that's for another thread someday.

I've played Hold 'em online for real money at Bodog. I also play fake money style on Poker Room with friends from time to time. However, as mentioned above, nothing beats having a brew, smokin' a bowl, and playing cards in person.

i used to be really big into poker, me and my friends would play once a week or so. after poker died down in my school i havent played as much. i still play a little real money on poker stars which ive found to be the easiest/best.

I play a lot of poker. Texas hold em, 5 Card, 7 Card, Omaha, Tahoe, any poker game.

When i play tournaments in Vegas, its No-Limit Texas Hold em only...

I play alot of Texas Hold Em, and im pretty good. I dont like playing online because its not true poker. You have a good hand and anybody will call you on anything. I do like playing with chips or money. Im not to good blazed but drunk im hella good.

Im definatly a gambler, and Texas Hold 'Em is fun. And I agree, sometimes playing online isn't as much fun as playing on a table with a drink and a smoke in hand(s)

BUT - I gotta defend online gambling. Its probably the best tool to learn at the right pace as any avalible. Doesn't matter your personality, as long as you got the keyboard, you can do it. I prefer the Club Pogo Games via AOL, if you have it, otherwise go to Pogo itself, and its less than $10 a month, and they have a cartload of games to play, way more than Yahoo.

Sigh I missed going to Vegas this year, due to getting the axe from my former employers (waving big middle finger at them). I went 2 last year with my girlfriend for a week each time, and it was HOT. I didn't come home with riches, but I added to my things I want to do list for sure. The shows, clubs, WOMEN...OMG It was the s**t. Was even able to get some GREAT smoke through a friend of a friend of a friend's brother...lol....I mean, damn!...stuff was grown by a master. Wished I could have gotten some back to the city...ah well.

Played lots of poker, Blackjack...My girl, shes a whiz at roulette...she won $1500 playing it for a half hour off a $100 seed. She says she doesnt pick the numbers, just the right color & table...lol...go figure. I hit the slots & played Blackjack for about an average of 4 hours a day, and an hour on poker...Overall I came away with plenty of comp points, but not alot of $$$

But let me say, Atlantic City isnt a bad choice either...and its closer, lol. But next year one way or the other, I gotta take my baby back there, hopefully for 2 weeks, or even 10 days.
