Role-playing as in creating a charecter and writing out all its actions and what not with another person. I've been rp'ing for quite some time now... Three years I beleive. I rp' elemental wolves, Inu-yasha, and the occasional highschool/teen rp'. ^^ Does anyone else rp', or know someone that does? And what's your opinion on it? xD

I have been part of an online Trek roleplaying game for 10 years. Been on the same ship with most of the same people too. Meet weekly and write logs and stuff. It's kinda fizzled out the past year as things changed due to AOL. They stopped sponsoring the forum and things got ugly. People got pissed, for good reason, and they left. Only a handful of people stayed. The long termers, but now things aren't the same and no one likes it anymore. A decade of roleplay gaming over, at least my Trek roleplaying.

I tried to role-play as a person with a lot of wisdom and brain-power. That didn't work out so well, so now I stick to the stoner.

That's weird. I always got high before we all met weekly online. It makes me a creative thinker and I could write some kickass logs too.

I never really understood the whole point of it. I had a friend who was into it once though, and I asked him why all the characters are always so damn serious about everything. He tried to tell me that they weren't always that way and went into a lecture about why RPGs were fun and you could be anyone you wanted to be.

So I went into the forum to check it out, it was a Star Wars RPG. I made a character named Crazy Bob from the 9th dimension who wears tights and all he does is go around lighting people's BBQ grills and stealing hot dogs.

And everyone got mad at me.

I would, too! A lot of people who are seriouse about role-playing don't want their boards messed up by people who arn't seriouse. I'm not /really/ like that, but we all get a lot of it.

I played in highschool a lot. Good way to pass the time. It would always be a party though when we played, we play for a little while, drink/smoke, talk about ****, make jokes, etc, get back to playing...

I'm more into playing it with a group of friends then online.
I havn't done if for a couple years now though...

I used to role play with my brother.

I had a human paladin that had 26 strength and had a plus ten to all of his stats due to a blood line trait.
