Does anybody have XBOX 360? What do you think? I just got one and it is seriously the coolest thing I have ever bought. (besides weed of course ) If anybody has Project Gothem Racing 2 or NCAA Football 07 and play on XBox live give me your online name so we can play against each other.

Im not sure how much live is per month because I got a free one month gold membership. Live Silver is free. Live gold is probably around 30 bucks a year.

I have one. I regret it. It has broken not once, not twice, but three, yes THREE times (ha, ha, haaaa).

First two times it broke, it was under warranty, and was promptly replaced. Now Micro$oft wants me to pay $129 for them to fix it. They can drink my bong water as far as I care.

Bad luck for you, I love my 360. I stood in line for 10 hours on launch day to get it and it has never given me a single problem.

Every other gamer I have talked to on Live feels the same way.

I'm not ready to get a 360 yet. of course most people on Live aren't talking badly about their 360....it has to be working for them to GET online!

Maybe its different elsewhere, but here, every 360 I've seen as a "display" model (one you can play with in the store) is out of order. At one point, every retailer that sold 360's in my hometown (all 4 of them) had non-functioning display models. Some were up and running for less than a week before mysteriously being shut down. I've seen the same thing in bigger cities as well....Out of 5 stores i visited one day, one had a functional display model. I've heard its an overheating problem, but personally, I don't care WHAT is causing the problem. if I'm going to spend 400 bucks on a gaming system, it had better work! I plan on doing what I did when the PS2 came out....waiting 2 years, letting the price drop a bit, and let MS figure out why so many of their systems seem to be dying at a rapid pace. Minority? Maybe....but theres no excuse for ANYONE to have to return their system 3 times. Besides, I won't be all that excited until Halo 3 comes out and i get a chance to play. That game alone will likely be the deciding factor if I decide to buy one or not.

That's so great to hear that Xbox sucks so much. Everyone I know who bought one except for one person (my girlfriend's dad bought one just to say he owns it, he has never even played it before because the PC just owns so much) said that theirs broke. At least five people I know had to return theirs because it just died. After that they said fuck Xbox and rightly so. I hate Xbox more than I hate facism and love weed combined.

It sucks that you got screwed over on the deal but it makes me happy to hear that Xbox sucks as much as I thought it did. Microsoft learned their lesson I guess and they're starting to promote the PC as "The World's Greatest Gaming Platform" as soon as Vista ships. One of my recent PC Gamer magazines has a four page article on how Microsoft is getting away from consoles and switching to the PC for gaming. Their main reason is because DirectX 10 is coming out with Vista and when that comes out the Xbox 360 is obsolete with it's shitty DirectX 9.0c PLUS PhysX is coming out with Vista or very shortly after it launches. PhysX is to physics cards what DirectX is to video cards. Xbox 360 will NEVER have a physics card because that technology is brand new and only available on PC.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an oldschool gamer and I love all consoles, except for any console that has "Xbox" in the title. Xbox is the great satan of videogames. It tries so hard to be a PC and because it can't, PC games suffer because they have to work on the Xbox too. Sony doesn't fuck up any PC games with their horrible ports and neither does Nintendo. They make games that belong on consoles that you can use a control pad with. Playing an Xbox game is like trying to play a PC game only with four pairs of mittens on. I guess what I'm saying is I like my American games on a computer and my Japanese games on a console.

I bought an x360 on impulse... One of the worst buys of my life honestly. I have The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (very cool game, but too time consuming) Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter (rocks online, but offline I'd rather shoot myself, and I'm not about to pay $12 per month for xbox live) and Project Gotham Racing 3 (No better than PGR2 and a helluva lot worse than GT4).

I guess I'll give ChromeHounds a shot if I can rent it from blockbuster.. I'm kinda sick of wasting $50-60 per game on games that aren't worth more than $30 IMO.
