I hope this shouldn't be in the Movies and Television but I think this is right. When John Madden talks about football, half the time he points out the obvious, the other half the time it sounds like porn. So far this year he was talking about Ronnie Brown of the Dolphins and he said something about "whether he can handle the whole load this time." Then he was talking about Brandon Stokely of the Colts and said "Normally this is where he would work the slot." If you have ever heard Mancow in the Morning they sometimes do a whole montage of his clips. He is always talking about "if he can't hit the A hole then he hits the B hole" or "he gets up in there and hits the hole hard." Half the time he just says jiberish but his porn descriptions of football are funny.

That is almost as bad as when he says "What they want to do is score a touchdown here." Damn it John, I didn't think that was the objective of the offense on every drive. I thought they wanted to go backwards and punt. Or "The \y want to score more points than the other guys."

Well later on in tonight's game he said that "Peyton looks for the hole and puts it right up in there." I think he has said in the preseason "If the quarterback would have just given the tight end a few more inches..." That one is kind of mild but he doesn't even realize what he is saying sometimes.

He said the sandwich one one Thursday during the Dolphins/Steelers game. Ever play QB1? Last year the Seahawks were playing Philly and Madden said the only one intelligent thing in his life. He said "When Alexander has to get a touchdown (which duh is always) he runs off the left end." The whole table of high and drunk stoners looked up, looked down, and all chose Run Left and he scored.
