I'll let you know after a few days playing. I'm almost done downloading it now, and I'm curious to see how the gameplay stacks up to CS.

It'll probably be good, but not as good as CS...in my opinion.

Sweet when I get the internet hooked up at my new apartment I'll have to get it. I thought the single player game of FEAR was boring and old as hell (you know, been there, played that) but the multiplay should be great especially if it's free.

And I can't wait for it to come out on 360 too so I can effortlessly own a bunch of controller using noobs PC Gamer had an article about it and their staff is as excited to own some noobs as I am

I find fear to be alot better then CS imo but thats because its just so much more face paced and i'm really fucking good at it (REALLY FUCKING GOOD).

Takes getting used to but if you can watch good players and learn you will become one your self.

If any one has Xfire give a friends invite to biggestbeaver and we will play together.

Meh, maybe I need to play it a little longer, and maybe my system isn't up to par, but I wasn't big on it. I have an Athlon64 3200(2.0GHz overclocked to 2.52GHz) with a GeForce 6600 which runs everything I have just fine. But maybe it's out of date, I don't really care.

The point is, the gameplay wasn't all that great, and the physics engine just didn't feel right. I couldn't get the sensitivity on the mouse to the right level, so I gave up and went to CS1.6 for a little bit.

I'm going to give it another try in a few days, but since CS, I haven't played many games that can beat the gameplay. Graphics are nice and all, but what good are they if the game doesn't feel right?

On the other hand, the game was quite beautiful to look at, but I mostly saw red when I was getting owned by someone who was probably waiting for a nub like me to come along.

Like i said its hard to get in to and after playing a slower paced game like CS i would imagine its even harder to start playing. I have the same problem but with CS because it is just to slow for me and so foreign. I don't play on high graphics and actually play on minimum to get as much advantage as possible.
