I personally love the new rules. Much MUCH more exciting. I really like shootouts too, I always hated ties. Did your team lose in a shootout tonight? Thats when I hate shootouts, lol.

Pitt won 4-0 tonight. If they play like this all season, they are gonna be a VERY exciting team to watch. Especially in a couple weeks when Malkin's back. This should be a fun season to watch.

Yea i think shootouts make it exciting too. But does anyone know if they do the shootouts in the playoffs or do they go into overtime. Cause playoff games that go into like 3 overtimes are so exciting, and are better than just ending such an important game by a shootout.

Playoffs are still OT. I honestly don't like the shootout, would rather see OT even in the regular season, but thats just me.

yea i think shootouts are good, but only for the playoffs, i mean in regular season games they should have an o.t then a tie, its just the way hockey is. But im in favor of goalies wearing smaller pads to increase scoring, because goalies became so fast and big, it was waaay to tough to score

Shootouts in the playoffs would be shit. Neverending OT is the way to go.

im so suprised none of yall talk about the Buffalo Sabres.

they are the best team in hockey with one of hockeys rising stars at goalie (Ryan Miller)

they are going to the cup to finish what they started last year
