Official Halo 2 Xbox Live Thread

Hello fellow gamers:

I am officialy making this the Halo 2 thread for stoners. I play Halo 2 on Xbox Live almost every night, so I figure the stoners might as well get together and talk about the game.

FAVORITE WEAPON COMBOS:

1) |SMG + Magnum|.
I know a lot of people HATE the pistol in Halo 2. BUT, it has a huge advantage when partnered up with an SMG. Try it for yourself! Invite a friend over and have him take a standard combo SMG+SMG or SMG+Plasma Rifle, and give yourself the SMG+Magnum. Start shooting each other at the same time. Who wins? The SMG + Magnum. POWERFUL COMBO.

2) |First gun: Plasma Pistol| |Second Gun: Battle Rifle|
Start by powering up your plasma pistol. When you see an enemy, shoot the charged plasma at the enemy (make sure you are close enough, so the plasma will lock on and follow the enemy). Immediatly after shooting the plasma pistol, switch to your battle riflle. Wait until the green plasma charge hits your enemy and shoot him/her with the battle rifle. Instant Death. I will admit, it takes some practice to charge, shoot, switch, zoom and shoot...but after some practive you will be a killing machine. This is by far the coolest combo in the game.

3) |Needler + Needler|
Some people are going to say, wtf? But I say, try it. The best place to use it this combo is in a wide open area, or a place where enemies are far away. I like to use this combo in midship. Take your dual needlers and get a good distance away from an enemy. Wait until the reticle turns red and start firing. The power of dual needlers from far away is amazing. Since the needles follow the enemy, you can destory and enemy with ease...especially if they are far away and can't get a good shot on you. Try it out.

Id have to say my favorite combo is two plasma rifles. Its fast, its angry, it reminds me of star wars.


Heres a neat trick you can do in levels with the rocket launcher and energy sword. Get the rocket launcher out, have the energy sword as your weapon switch. Now look for someone with the rocket launcher reticle, when you see them and it turns red what you want to do is quickly hit the weapon switch button and tap the right trigger. Now what this should do is project you to the target with your sword out making you perform a long distance sword kill. Try it, its a ton of fun.


And heres another trick, get the sword and get in a warthog passenger seat. Now have someone come over to you and when your reticle turns red to do the lunge hit the trigger. Wooosh you will hear. Nothing happens. Now have the person you targeted walk away in a straight line a considerable distance. Now jump out of the warthog. BOINGGGGGG you go flying to the person you targeted like you had an elastic on them. Good times.

I gotta try that energy sword stuff. sounds interesting. that would be great for a place like waterworks. you could lock on from the middle and launch to either side.

I play.... Alot.... So just give me and invite b/c im way to lazy to type all those letters in with a control stick . My gamer tag is Drewisgood.

Sword canceling swing the sword and press x. You can do many tricks with this including climing really really really tall walls. Go into a corner and get someone on yoru head, tell them to start to jump. then you start pressing trigger + x very fast and you will start to climb.
