Well I'm sneaking off to see this news conference because I don't think TO will sugar coat this. Damn it now it has been pushed back to 3:15. I'm not so sure this story hasn't been mixed up. I can imagine what he might have been given for the pain and I don't think that there was a reaction to his supplements. If he had a reaction I would bet that he took too many whether by accident like he was hurting took a few extra or took 2, got a little messed up and forgot and took 2 more, or on purpose like attempted suicide. The NFL has a very long banned susbstance list so I really find it hard to believe supplements played a role in this. Just the pills.

Mark Schelarrrrrrreth? haha, gave a great opinion on how painkillers and supplements can sometimes counter-react and pretty much make you delusional. His son had tommy john surgery and mentioned that he was completely out of wack on his return home. TO obviously shoves hundreds of things in his mouth everyday/week(mostly his foot). The combo of these pills could have made him believe he didn't take his dose and shoved in another dose. I heard his publicist removed 4 pills from his mouth before calling 911.(hearsay)

Hour and ten minutes till Parcells and another hour for a press conference. The Lieutenant of Dallas Police sideswiped every question involving a suicide attempt. This media circus is getting pretty out of hand.

Also, everyone in my league has heard about it already(duh). I hope he recovers and gets me a few points this week. My recievers suck this year.

The DPD Liutenant stated that they responded to a call and that there was no criminal investigation, period.
That would indicate either a bona fide accident or a suicide, plain and simple.

I'll say it again:
The media circus exists because people demand to know. The people are the ones that put this guy on a pedestal and demand to know everything around him as soon as humanly possible or even faster.

Frankly, I think he's got a case of Cobain Syndrome. Waaaah.

OK. T.O. just had his press conference.

First of all, he took more painkillers than he was prescribed. Not a criminal act, but not a smart move either.
Supposedly the additional pills from the bottle were missing because they were seperated into a day-by-day pill planner thing (my grandmother used one of those!).
He was so out of it that he "couldn't tell an EMT from a doctor from the police" (direct quote), so he doesn't remember telling anyone that he was trying to do harm to himself.
His publicist also said that "he has twenty-fice million reasons to live."

he was taking more painkillers than prescribed on top of "nutritional supplements" that he uses to improve himself physically. Sorry, but I don't buy it. There's some definite bullshit we're being fed here.

I do, however, appreciate the comment from teh CNN anchor after teh press conference: "A masterful P.R. effort there."
