A buddy of mine I grew up with is literally a professional UT player. He's on some sponsered team and he gets all his gear (you know, video cards and that fun stuff) for free and plays with the best people in the world like Fatal1ty.

I used to play with him because we were kind of each others' only friends for a little while. He transfered to a different school his senior year and I was just starting at a community college. We would hang out all the time and play UT 2003. We'd always have something to smoke because he was selling at the time. I never beat him a single time because my game always has been and always will be Half-Life and its many mods but I could own him when I found the guns He's so good at controlling maps it's insane. He has like 9 timers he's running in his brain at the same time so he knows exactly when the armor respawns and he's right there for it and so on. Usually I'd just walk around with what you spawn with because he'd have EVERYTHING.

UT 2004 is a lot different but I like it more. I haven't played it in a long time though just because when I get a chance to play games I usually play Oblivion or HL2 death match. I'm gonna have to try and find UT2004 and install it when I get a chance

never played any of the mods, i heard UT has a jail break mod, iv played the jail break mod on quake 3 before and it was fun as hell so im guessing the jail break mod for UT is even better

Check out moddb.com for UT2k4 mods, there are a lot of good ones, Red Orchestra is awesome, there are quite a few others. One group is porting the original Deus Ex to UT2K4.
