I had the (dis)pleasure of listening to every uber dork in my classes yesterday talking about how they more or less masturbate while thinking of PS3. They didn't say that but I wouldn't be surprised.

Did anyone get ahold of a PS3? I'm curious how it seems so far. All of the press leading up to the release that I saw focused on the hardware so I don't even know what games are available. I read that people were disappointed with the launch titles and the system requires some software updates before you can play any games.

It kind of sounds like it turned out how I thought it would but I'm just wondering if the $600 price tag is worth it. I might get one when they cost $200 (three years from now) just to play any Gran Turismo games that might come out. And of course any new Metal Gear games.

It looks like the Wii is going to win the current generation of console wars though. Can't beat a $250 price tag for Christmas and totally innovative gameplay that captures the imagination. I want to play Red Steel so bad...

Yea, I got one. We slept outside for 3 days. It got down to 28 degrees last night. We all played Dungeons and Dragons. It was so cold that we just decieded to spoon for endless hours....numerous reach-a-rounds were applied. While the sun rose today, we decieded to quit arguing about who we would kiss on the cheek first....Hermione Granger or Princess Leia. After 6 months of selling all my pong chips and beanie babies, I finally was able to afford this system. After I purchased it, I bought a 12 pack of Red Bull and stopped all of my internet porn memberships. I will prolly be playing it all weekend long..only stopping to use the restroom, have mommy make me a PB & J, or to preform bukkake with my blowup dolls.

I will not be buying a PS3 this year. I was actually dissapointed with my ps2, dont get me wrong tons of good games - but it grew stale fast.

I plan on buying the Wii possibly this weekend depending on what im up to, or gettting it later in the holiday season.

I think nintendo's new controller is going to be the next big thing- and i'm willing to invest half the money of the ps3 on something innovative.

Waited outside a Future Shop yesterday starting about one in the afternoon. Got spot number 17. Left at 6:00 PM when they told us there was only going to be 8, maybe 12.

DAMN it. I was gonna resell that sh*t. Check them out on EBay it's retarded.

Sigh. Guess I gotta make my money the hard way.....

I don't understand why people don't just preorder online and have them shipped to your house.

Next time a console is released I'll buy one that way just to resell it. There's enough spoiled rich kids in the world that someone will pay 4x the price.

My freind just got a ps3, paid $900 for it!!! and im kinda dissapointed in it. after all the hype and advertising, i still think the 360 is a better deal. and a better deal than the 360? THE Wii!!! im goin to get one as soon as i can raise $300. Im goin to wait and see if Nintendo can reclaim the Throne. thers alot more people saying they want the ps3 but 300 dollars is alot easier to get than 3000 dollars! people who are paying that much for them are retarded, people who are selling them for that price are geniuses!

I checked stores online to pre order and they are all sold out. For a system that was supposed to be about $600, the stores are even selling them for over $1000 right now. The people who did get a hold of the system, some of those people are re selling them on ebay and are getting bids as high as $3000. Only 400,000 are being put out in the United States. With xmas around the corner this is always going to happen on the next big thing released to the public. I'm going to wait a few months before i make a purchase on it. I don't feel the need to camp outside a store for 3 or 4 days. Just earlier on the news there was someone robbing people of their money when they were waiting in line, one person refused to give their money up and was shot. The guy is in critical condition and they were also waiting in line for about 3 or 4 days. It's f*ckin ridiculous, they even need security to escort some of the people to their cars.

I paid about $3000 for my used quad, for something like PS3 i can't see it bein worth as much as a 4 wheeler.

Anyone else think the Wii is completely retarted?

I mean, what if you just want to relax, sit down, and play a videogame without having to jump around.

I'm sure it will be fun for awhile, but it will loose its fun value very fast.
