What is it about NASCAR that makes everyone so addicted?

Especially rednecks. XD.... My teachers are all red necks and they love NASCAR. And I heard Darque talk of NASCAR, he's going to the race! And he left before I could ask him. So.... What's so great about driving in circles, really loudly? Am I missing a redneck gene, or do I not drink enough beer? I need an answer!

If you can get into watching it, you can easilly see that it's not just driving around in circles. There's a lot of stratagy involved in getting ahead of other cars and drafting without crashing at 200 MPH.

I usually watch Daytona but that's it.

Hmm. I don't know about that. When I was younge= (Way easier to be entertained) (I'm talking when popup books made me giggle, and open and reopen with amazement each time).... It still never caught my eye. Although I've never been much of a car guy...

haha you use redneck like its a race or somthing.. nascar has gotten pretty popular here in the last decade..dont ask me why. i dont watch it but i dont have anything against it. i dont think it would be that boring if you were drinking and smoking.. especially if there was a crazy wreck or somthing that happen right in front of you. but if you dont think its amusing just dont watch it.. rather than make a thread dissin it yo!@

Think of how many car & speed enthusiasts there are out there. Throw in some potential major wrecks happening at speeds of 175 or however fast they go (not much of a fan myself) and it's easy to see why so many people like it.

I'd imagine they're way funner to be at in person too.

uhg i hate nascar, I think it's a fonominal wast of gas and tires.... I like speed, and cars are ok but it's just so boring. wrecks are cool though

My grandparents are other relatives are into this racing sport, NASCAR. I find it boring to watch, simply because I have not taken the time to become interested. I'm sure I make it become interesting, but I don't see a reason to.
